5 Things on Friday
Well, here we are at the end of June already... dang, where did that month go?? This week there's definitely not shortage of interesting material to share with you, in fact, sharing only 5 tips really doesn't do justice to everything happening in the ArcGIS ecosystem right now. And so, I hope you find at least one useful tip here, and as always, I encourage you comments, questions, and feedback - in particular, I'd love to get some feedback and your thoughts on the announcement of the new User Types for ArcGIS. Have an awesome week-end to all.
#1 Introducing Updated User Types for ArcGIS
This announcement is a huge step in the evolution of licensing of ArcGIS technology. The updated role-based user types extend capabilities, simplify administration, and allow you to scale as your organization’s needs grow. The updated user types will be available in ArcGIS Online with the June 2024 update and in ArcGIS Enterprise upon upgrading to version 11.4 (expected November 2024) and later versions. Updates include:
Be sure to check out the new User Types page and consult the comparison matrix!

#5 What's new in ArcGIS Online?
Finally, I HAVE to share details of this valuable resource that dives into all the goodies you'll find in the June 2024 update. Hint... you'll be able to learn more at ESRIUC! Recall, ArcGIS Online gives users the ability to make maps and apps to share your insights with your organization or the world. You can use it as a complete, cloud-based solution or to extend and complement the capabilities of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
