Humans have the capability to do unimaginable things in life. Both good and bad! All depends on where and how people channelize their talent. And when it comes to problem solving, entrepreneurs all across the world are the first in the game to solve any problem, small or big.
With all the stories and experiences of the great Entrepreneurs in the world, there are few things which very less of them speak about or open up.
May be it's time that more Entrepreneurs speak about these and help each other in this journey which is so important and crucial for the benefit of the world at large.
There are many things which Entrepreneurs prefer not to talk about, out of which these are the most common and concerning ones as per my observation and experience.
- Guilt and shame from time to time
Sometimes some decisions gives unfavorable consequences or results. And although majority of the Entrepreneurs are great in dealing and overcoming challenging times, but there are times when they some real help. Those who have proper guidance or mentors who have good understanding and knowledge can help them to go through the situation well.
2. Loneliness
Human beings are social beings and naturally want to be loved, cared and respected by others. For Entrepreneurs it's one step ahead. They are constantly on the path which require so much in terms of - sacrifice, determination, time, energy, money, emotional and mental balance and so much more, that a lot of times it's lonely. Especially for them who have good spouses but cannot discuss anything related to the business or technicalities of it, those who do not have anyone to talk to (especially solopreneurs and also those who does not have any partners), those who have a great team but does not have someone whom you can blindly trust with their deepest and darkest secrets, who will always have their back come what may. Hence, it's a lonely path most of the time, however it looks glamorous and wealthy from above.
3. Health
When it comes to health - physical, mental and emotional, a lot of things are at stake. Most of the times, they face depression and low phases in life due to many reasons - targets, trolls, criticism, internal and external politics, relationship mess, leading and managing people, finances and what not. Hence, if they don't take care consciously of all three aspects of their health, it becomes a problem not just for them but for all around them.
4. Finances
Even the biggest companies in the world have financial issues. It's not just about earning, revenue or cashflow. There are many other things that need to be taken care of in terms of expenses, training, systems, payrolls, etc. Hence majority of the time finances are one of the main reasons, all of them need to be on their toes all the time.
5. Relationship Challenges
Both personal and professional relationships go for a toss if not taken care of well. And this becomes a huge challenge for many Entrepreneurs who do not have the idea how to manage all. Hence it takes mental and emotional turmoil and sometimes leads to trauma as well.
Entrepreneurs are also human beings. In fact the ones who are solving problems on behalf of majority of the population. They are inevitable part of the world just like doctors, farmers and other domains as well.
When we show a little more compassion towards them, things start to change drastically for the better.
Hence self-leadership if the first step. Because the journey from self-leadership to leadership is the way forward.
