Sure, New York City can be expensive but it doesn't have to be when it comes to these 5 budget-friendly activities.

1. Top of the Rock observation deck and MOMA (Museum of Modern Art). You can get a combination ticket to visit both for $44 total and even go on different days.

Alternatively, you can go to MoMA for free on Friday night, and then go to Bar SixtyFive... Two floors lower @ 30 Rock, but still spectacular views and you can spend your money on a drink or two instead of a ticket for an elevator ride.
