5 Steps To Learn Anything Faster
In this digital age, information is coming and going at a blink of an eye and sometimes I feel like I can't keep up. Below are some hacks that will allow you to consume more information more efficiently.
- LEARN BY DOING: Immersion is the best way to learn anything! When you tried to learn how to ride a bike or play basketball, you didn't look at YouTube videos alone, you got out there and tried it.
- GET A MENTOR: Whether on the football field or business world the value of a coach/mentor is pivotal to learning faster
- STOP MULTITASKING: Multitasking is probably the most deceiving tactic used for getting things done/learning. David Allen (Author of "Getting Things Done") talks about how the brain is like your computer, the more tabs you have open the slower your computer will operate. Focusing on one thing at a time will make you a more effective learner.
- GO AUDIO: This is especially helpful if you are interested in reading more books. Next time you are in the car commuting to work, instead of listening to music, tune into podcasts or audiobooks that are of interest to you.
- 80/20 RULE: This is extremely helpful when trying to learn a language. The 80/20 rule means you get 80% of your results from 20% of your efforts. One tactic you can use comes from Tim Ferris called deconstruction.
Using these tactics will not only help you learn at a faster pace but also help you attain the goals you've set out to get.
