Based on my own experience, I'd say that building an effective business system begins with you, as the founder, and your core values, mission, and big-picture goals. From there, there are 5 steps that'll get you on track to running successful operational processes:
1. Setting goals and their decomposition
Your goals should be crystal clear and actionable. They're like your guiding star that will later shape the tools and team you'll need as you move forward. Your vision will be the magnet for your clients and will energize your team.
Then break your goals down into smaller chunks so you know exactly what steps to take to reach your Point B.
Surprisingly, not many entrepreneurs take this crucial step. They often jump straight to the question "How do we promote?"?
But this is too early to ask for now.
2. Deep understanding of your audience
This step isn’t about pushing their pain points or manipulating them. It’s about understanding their fears, needs, and in general where you can lead traffic from.?
If you skip this step, your sales will always be one-time, leaving you wondering why your product isn't resonating with your audience.
Note, promotion is still not there ??

3. Packaging Your Business
Now it's time to present yourself or your business in the best possible light. Packaging is not about writing something in common words. It's about specific benefits you can offer to your clients based on the insights you've gained from talking to them before.
4. Promotion
Yes, only now it’s time to consider various online and offline promotion channels, as well as potential partnerships. But don't rush into this until you've completed steps 2 and 3.
5. Automating Your Processes
Here I mean a storage of all the previous four steps in one place.?
For example, in my team, we use a HubSpot CRM system and analytical reports to track all communications with clients, current figures for achieving objectives, results of each team, and even individual performance. Every week we discuss the results to ensure we're all on the same page.?
So, there is no need to explain the same thing 48 times to each new member of your team because everything is already organized as a system.
These are the five steps I recommend taking to breathe life into your business system and make it effective.?
Give them a try!
