Q&A:?What has changed the most about your job/industry in the last two years?

What do people misunderstand about the deskless workforce?
[They think] that we don’t work. Since we aren’t at a desk, we have the opportunity to stop and go to lunch, or run an errand. You get these weird looks from people that make you feel like you are being judged because you aren’t at work.
What is most desperately needed for employers to engage with their deskless employees?
Communication. Since I am not around most of my employees everyday or for even weeks at a time, the line of communication needs to be open. I may not see my employees all the time, however, I do call, message or email them everyday.
If you knew you couldn't fail, what impact would you want to have in your industry to support the deskless workforce over the next five years?
It would be awesome to been seen as a mentor for companies who are starting up! Coming to me and asking questions or if they need help to ask. I currently work with another company - we share employees - to help each other with our work load if we know we cannot finish it ourselves. Working together is better than trying to do it all yourself. It takes a village!
