5 Simple Steps To Transform Your Life Quickly

Transforming or shifting life can be done in hundreds and thousands of ways. If you read the stories of resilient people, you will find innumerable ways people have used to break through the chain of misery, problems, challenges, difficulties and what not. It’s good to know that almost everyone goes through their unique set of challenges.
In fact, life will offer you difficulties and challenges, you must be rest assured of it. What you do with those, is a choice which needs to be made by you. And those choices determine, the quality and outcome of your life. No one can escape the school of life, in which life teaches lessons in the uncanniest ways, ways which we don’t like but are very effective in making us learn lessons for a lifetime.
If you are reading this, chances are, you are going through a phase which you may not be liking and you want to make some changes to it. And this is what the most beautiful part is, which is your willingness to do it. Most people never change, because they never developed a willingness for it. They may wish or want, but having a real willingness is so critical.
No matter how much you have tried and failed, the only certainty eventually remains, that if you try enough, you will get a breakthrough.
Here I suggest a 5-step process to expedite the process of shifting your life. By no means, these are the only ways, but these are some of the effective ways and ways which gives you lasting change.
1. Change your physical movements
The first and the most important step in shifting or transforming one’s life is shifting or changing your habitual body language. Remember you are the one who uses this body and not vice-versa. When you go through difficult times, the body becomes too heavy with all emotions and energies, and it goes in a very lethargic state. Your physical movement reduces and you get stuck in a trap. It's like if your car is not in a good condition, how will you go anywhere?
Similarly, the first thing to do is to get your body in action, just a lot of physical movements. This will help in shifting the energies of the body and that gives a space to new possibilities. This has to be done daily for 1-2 months.
Action Point - Start dancing daily for 5-10 mins, join zumba or any other physical activities session, go for running for 5-10 mins, join gym, or just walk daily for some time. Move your body, and it will help you to move in life. This is a must step to follow. Physical movement is a very critical aspect of shifting anything and everything. The fundamental thing it does is to change your existing state into a much-empowered state.
2. Change your emotional home
When going through difficult times, we get stuck in limiting emotions and continue experiencing these emotions day in day out. Emotions and feelings like anger, frustration, sadness, chaos, irritation, disappointment, guilt and what not. These emotions mostly tend to keep you in a stuck condition. Research says, when experiencing these emotions, your thinking brain mostly shuts down and hence not much of insights or ideas will come to you.
So, the second thing you have to do is to change your emotional home.
People think it's difficult to do, and hence it's difficult for them. If you think it’s easy, you will have easier ways to get it done. In fact, this is very easy to carry out once you really decide to do this.
Action point - Start daily listening to your favorite songs, not the sad, pain songs, but the songs which uplift your emotions. Get a headphone on and listen to the same number back to back for hours. Another thing you can do is to watch your favorite comedy series or movies which are inspirational or makes you go happy and crazy. Another way to do this is to sit and write 20 small or big happy moments of your life. You will have 1000s of them, just choose to write 20-30 of them. You need to go back doing those things which triggers happy and empowering emotions inside you.
3. Get your perspective right
If you are feeling that you are at stage in life where nothing is possible or no way out, most probably you are a victim of your mindset. You are just stuck with few ways of seeing things. No matter what the situation is, there are millions of ways to come out of it or to make a breakthrough. This is very important because until your perspective doesn't changes, you will keep hitting the same wall.
You will keep taking the same road, making the same decision, experiencing the same emotions and living the same reality.
Action point - To change your perspective - answer these questions -
a.) If my role model is in my place, what 1-2 things s(he) will do now to get out of this phase?
b.) If someone puts a gun to your head and your family, and ask you to quickly do something which will change your life, what few actions you will take today?
c.) How long I wish to stay like this and suffer before I will really come out, as I know I will come out eventually from this situation or way of living?
4. Create a short but compelling Vision
The next step is to create a short vision for yourself. Something which you will be moving towards. It need not be something glamorous or fascinating, but something simple too. This is important, as this will help you create a different story completely. You need to have something to go after, else you will be dragged by the past which you are not willing to let go. Creating a vision does wonders to us. No matter how simple it looks, it has a powerful impact on our mind and body. It creates a spark and becomes instrumental in helping us change.
Action Point - Your vision can be “to be more peaceful, joy, happy for next 3-6 months”, or “my vision is to anyhow increase my income in next 6 months” or “my vision is to daily live up to my commitments which will help me shift my life”.
Create something like this for yourself. This can be weird, idiotic or whatever you wish too. It will stay with you only hence don’t hesitate and make one.
5. Take action & set accountability
The last step is to start taking consistent action, big or small, doesn’t matter. You need to decide on few actions you will do daily which will push you towards your vision. Nothing gives you more power than sustained daily actions. Everyday make sure if you are going out of your comfort zone and hitting your checklist.
As you start doing this, request someone to watch over you. Maybe a friend or a colleague. Share your commitments that you have decided to do these, and ask them to keep a check on you once in a while. You may update them every week on your progress. This is so powerful, just making our-self accountable, we tend to achieve much more. Closing thoughts
Nothing will give you more joy and happiness than knowing the fact that you are doing something which is pushing you towards your goal.
If you are determined to make things move than be assured it will move. If a wall blocks you, breakthrough the wall. If people blocks you, then don't break them but ignore and move. The challenges in front of you are small or big, depends how you look at them. The great energy and power inside you can break through anything, but it doesn’t come in force until and unless you commit and decide to move. The best part is any given day you can stand up and make a choice, the work of transforming self is the most beautiful work as that will stay with you till you are alive and who knows possibly after death too.
Keep your focus on where you wish to reach, and you will eventually reach. Sustained, concentrated focus is magical.
