5 Signs of a Strong Service Ecosystem

5 Signs of a Strong Service Ecosystem

Successful service events require cooperation from several parties and provide your fleet with a competitive advantage.

Here are five signs that indicate your service ecosystem is operating efficiently.

1. Highly effective and efficient communication during service events: You have the information you need in real time with status change updates and notifications sent throughout the entire repair process. Notifications are sent the way you want (text, email, etc.) and to all the appropriate people. Most importantly, you don’t waste time chasing voicemails, emails or faxes.

2. Complete access to all the information you need during a repair event: It’s important to have access to as much relevant information as possible about an asset that’s being serviced. That means having a connected service ecosystem with information from DVIRs, telematics devices and repair events combining to form a complete service history. In addition, warranty information is available along with recalls and service campaigns. Technical bulletins, repair procedures and even photos and wiring diagrams can be easily shared.

3. Excellent documentation and data quality: All data is not created equal. VMRS codes used for cases and operations ensure everyone involved in the repair knows exactly what’s wrong and what’s being done to fix the problem. Asset-build information provides documentation of exactly which components are on the truck so you don’t waste valuable repair time.
