Entrepreneurs are a unique group of, sometimes crazy people. And to be successful, you need a bit of crazy.

Normal is not in the ingredients when it comes to being an entrepreneur. It's lonely. It's dark. It's polarizing. However, it is the greatest journey on earth for the right person.

They draw on?personality?traits, habits and mind-sets to come up with ideas that straddle the line between insanity and genius.

But just because you’re an original thinker and came up with an idea to replace gasoline in cars or come up with a new way to put man on the moon doesn’t mean you’re cut out to be an entrepreneur.?Yup, I said it!

So, what are these 5 traits you say - ok, here we go: You may not have all these traits or skills, yet if you have some, this is a pretty good indicator that you have what it takes. Let's go!

The 5 Signs

  1. You hate the status quo. You’re a person who is always questioning why people do the things they do. You strive to make things better and are willing to take action on it. Elon Musk, say no more....
  2. You have extreme self -confidence. Have you ever met an entrepreneur who was pessimistic? They probably won't be very successful if that's the case. After all, if you don’t have confidence, how can others believe in you??Most entrepreneurs are very optimistic about everything around them and of course, in their ideas.
  3. You are relentless as heck... Never taking no for an answer.
  4. Your daily commute is a few steps to your home office :)
  5. You are psychologically unemployable - you cring at being micromanaged and are the ALPHA dog in how things run. You like control and the aspect of leadership and bringing others up in the process.

Now, you look at these attributes and say - hmm, do I measure up? If you have at least 2 of these, it's a pretty good litmus test to be a fit for being an entrepreneur.

The creators, the visionaires - these are the leaders of tomorrow. More and more, we see articles written about entrepreneurship and while it's available for everyone, not everyone is available for it. Read that again.

As an entrepreneur, you must consistently be in a learning and growth mode - taking your craft to the next level by always sharpening your saw.

It's those that are a bit crazy about their growth that will be the dominant ALPHA dogs of tomorrow.

Women entrepreneurs are taking the lead - creating new opportunities, new products and new concepts and ideas to make a change in this world that is positive. I am honored to support women owned businesses lead by some of the best minds of today.

I am always in awe of the wonderful ideas many of the colleagues and friends whom are women entrepreneurs have. Let's continue to support them in their journey.
