The last lines of a rhyme we used to sing as kids say;
Change your style,?
another style,?
another style,?
be like that.
If you remember the beginning, please remind us in the comment section.
One of the biggest things about being a human is the presence of biases.?
We all have different cultures, grew up in different environments and learned different religious beliefs and practices. The interaction of all these things with our personality produces personal belief systems.?
Your belief system is your idea or views about yourself, society, the world, the future and other things.?
The dominant culture, faith, education, experience and the influences around your growth such as parents and mentors, play a role in shaping your belief systems.??
Belief systems can either be enabling or limiting.?
Enabling belief systems inspire you to be the best of yourself and achieve something in the highest sense of good.?
These beliefs stir you to take responsibility for your results and decide on excellence. They help you see possibilities and opportunities in every problem.?
Limiting belief systems are absolute, inaccurate and unhelpful beliefs. They keep you within your comfort zone, push you into discomforting results but stop you from attempting to succeed. They make you judge yourself or others and see impossibilities and adversity in every problem.?
The famous litmus test is the image below:

If you see a half-empty cup, you may have limiting belief systems. However, If you see a half-full cup, you likely think optimistically.?
Personal belief systems form your value system.?
Values are stable convictions about what is essential and what is not, in any case. They include the guiding principles behind your actions and decision.?
If someone believes that success is what it is regardless of how it comes, this is their belief. If adopted consistently, it makes them manipulate their way to the top.?
Beliefs are built into us during childhood and other formative experiences. As we continue to grow, we should become more intentional about these beliefs and value systems. We do this by employing strategic growth actions, communities, and experiences.?
I believe the desire of God for everyone is that we embrace superior belief systems - a belief system above the human culture and thoughts patterns. That is why He says;
Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord… "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways My ways," declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.?
Isaiah 55:7-9 NASB
And then in another place, He says;
Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you and develops well-formed maturity in you.?
Rom 12:2 MSG
I, therefore, charge you to change your style. Do not stick to the old way of doing things unwisely if they are not producing superior results. Adopt a superior sense of good - a divine sense of perfection.?
