Whether you are new to the idea of blogging or have never even thought of it, you may be surprised to find out just how profitable it can be for you.
You may have seen other agents blogging on their sites and wondered why they bothered or how they found the time to do that.
The reason they are blogging, is that it can be EXTREMELY lucrative and in more ways than one!
Today, I want to outline for you exactly why and how you can explode your monthly income using your real estate blog. I also want to give you tons of other tips and tricks to help you build the life and career that you have been dreaming of. So please take a moment to subscribe to my website & join my Facebook community, so I can keep you in the loop on all you need to know to become the biggest, badest, real estate agent in your area.
You see blogging is more than just blogging; it is content marketing.
Oh, and in case you haven’t heard my friend, it is one of the strongest marketing strategies ever invented in terms of ROI, brand recognition, and overall growth.
But before I show you a few cool ways that you can increase your income with your real estate blog, I want to take a moment and explain to you how it does SO much more than just make you money.
As a real estate agent, you understand the aches and pains of the sales cycle.
You know the fears of knocking on strangers’ doors and calling them coldly. That phone feels like it weighs 100lbs. doesn’t it?!
You also know how daunting it can be to stand out from the competition and carve a name for yourself and your business.
If you are anything like the vast majority of real estate agents in this fine country of ours, money was a big part of why you got into this business and you have no desire to spend the next 30 years struggling to be average.
Guess what? I don’t want you to be average either!
Most of you will be. Most of you will never climb out of the stereotypical traps that ruin most agents’ careers. Most of you will find yourselves being an employee again one day rather than the lead broker of a badass team.
That’s not my opinion. It’s a statistical fact. No matter how negative and depressing, it is the truth.
But it really doesn’t have to be your fate, if you are willing to put in the work and invest in your business the smart way.
As I am sure you have guessed by now, my point is that blogging (content marketing) will help you to avoid that fate in a major way!
Real estate content marketing and blogging will make you stand out from the competition, gain the trust of your ideal clients, and scale your team with the least amount of effort.

And of course, when done right, real estate content marketing will also make you tons of money.
So now let’s get into the good stuff, shall we?
Here are my favorite ways for you to increase your income with real estate blogging:
Attract Your Ideal Clients
My biggest pet peeve with real estate agents is that they get caught up in all of the small details and lose sight of the big picture.
The result is that you end up chasing your tail and hemerroging money as you desperately try to get clients.
Before you know it, you are taking any and every client you can get and pulling your hair out with the headaches that come from them.
Sound familiar?
Stop doing that. Right this second! I’m begging you!
Instead, I want you to take a step back and ask yourself who your ideal client really is - and be SPECIFIC!
I don’t want you to tell me who you think will make you money i.e. luxury listings (yawn).
I don’t want you to tell me who you have been working with.
I want you to tell me who you want to buy and sell houses with every single day for the rest of your life.
Seriously, I want you to design your ideal client and create a profile around them.
I give all of my clients a workbook to help them do this when they hire me and it is really important to developing a successful content strategy.
Once you have designed your ideal client, and created that profile, use it to create a content strategy that will draw them to you.
Then make sure you market that content in places where your ideal clients is likely to find it, as well as, through your email campaigns and social media platforms.
Build Your Real Estate Team
Are you ready to build your real estate empire?
Do you have dreams of being the head of a mega-team that takes over your local market and dominates all things real estate in your area?
Do you want to build a team that transforms into a legacy that lasts beyond your lifetime?
Excellent! Fabulous! Fan-fucking-tastic!
How are you going to do that?
In order to build a powerful real estate team, you have to attract and hire the “right” types of talent.
You have to get the best and the brightest excited about hitching their horse to your wagon and giving their all to help make your dreams come true, sometimes at the expense of their own!
You have to be perceived by experienced and aspiring real estate agents as the “secret ingredient” of a successful real estate career.
How the hell do you do that?
You guessed it, you do it with your real estate blog.
Start by identifying the ideal team member that you want to build out your team with. Consider everything that makes that person tick. What do they want in life? What keeps them up at night?
Then create a very careful content strategy around that person’s goals, dreams, and problems.
Just as you are able to attract your ideal clients to you using your blog, you can attract the right talent.
Make sure that you create an entirely separate content calendar and make yourself stick to it. There are always fresh issues emerging in this profession and you can make yourself a true powerhouse by constantly creating fresh content around those issues.
Be creative, be calculating, be consistent. Most of all, be valuable.
As a result, your recruiting methods will become far more passive, just like your marketing.
Add Affiliate Links
Have you ever wondered how professional bloggers make their money?
For most of them, they earn the majority of their income through what is known as affiliate partnerships.
This means that while you are reading through their articles there will be links to various products and services which will be relevant to what you are reading about, and tempting for you to click on.
When you do click on those links and make a purchase, the blogger gets a commission. In some cases, they get paid just for you clicking on the link!
The rate of the commission varies a great deal from pennies to hundreds or even thousands of dollars a pop.
So once the article has been written and published to the web, it will begin earning passive income for the blogger, 24/7, 365, forever. Or, at least it has the potential to.
You can do this with your real estate blog too.
There are tons of different products and services that will be applicable to your ideal buyers and sellers that you can include affiliate links to in your blog articles.
You can find thousands of different affiliate programs with a simple Google search.
You may also want to reach out to your preferred vendors and see if they would be interested in having you market their services through your blog for a commission.
One of my favorite affiliate programs is Skimlinks because it ads all of the links to your website for you! It's amazing! All you have to do is sign up for your own Skimlinks affiliate account. They will give you a unique code to copy and paste to your site and BAM! Their software will automatically search through the content on your site and apply links wherever appropriate!
Just make sure that you are staying within the confines of the law and always disclose that there are affiliate links present somewhere on the page (it’s a legal requirement).
Convert Your Blog Into A Book
Have you ever wanted to be like one of those hot shot real estate agents that have a book with their face on the cover?
Books make an incredible marketing and branding tool.
I should know, I’ve written several.
Not only do books make a dramatic impact on the way people perceive you, they will really position you as an expert, and help you to stand out from the competition in a major way.
If you already have a big library of real estate blog articles published to your site, you can easily repurpose them into a full-size book which you can turn around and sell.
If you write the articles yourself, it would be wise to hand them off to a professional writer and editor to help with this project.
You will need to have specific formatting done to your text, as well as, a variety of other tasks like the cover design, forward, etc.
If you have not yet started your blog, it is important that you incorporate this goal into your overall strategy.
If you are working with a professional writer and content marketer like myself to produce your relay estate content, make sure to relay that you would like to one day turn your blog into a book. It will make a very big difference in the design of your real estate content strategy.
Even if you choose not to sell your book as a direct to consumer item, you can use it as a gift and lead generation tool.
There are so many ways in which that can be done! Email me at [email protected] to discuss ways to use your real estate book to explode your business.
Build Equity In Your Website
I have to admit that this one is my all-time favorite way to make money using your real estate blog.
I think I like it so much because the size of the profit and the concept is absolutely mind-blowing to most of you.
The more strategic real estate content that exists on your site, the more valuable your website becomes.
This is due to a number of different factors, but SEO is a huge component here.
It will likely shock you to know that if you build up enough content on your site, and that content has been done correctly, you could sell your website for ….wait for it….
EIGHT FUCKING FIGURES!
That’s right my friend! Count ‘em $10,000,000
Don’t believe me?
You don’t need to. Simply google “sell website for millions” and watch what pops up!
Now, before you go fantasizing about how you are going to retire with your eight figure cash-out, you need to understand something very important.
Not only do those websites contain MASSIVE amounts of content, that content was all written and structured very scientifically.
Don’t expect to start blogging today as a newbie, knowing nothing about how it’s really done, and then think you’re going to be a millionaire in a few years.
That’s not really how this works.
For this type of earth-shattering payout, you are going to need to invest real of time and money.
Many of the owners of those websites spend a decade paying a professional writer like myself to build out their content for them. However, they understood that every penny was a true investment, rather than an expense.
As long as you own your website, your content will work for you 24/7, 365, forever to grow your traffic, engage your audience, and build the value of your website.
So even if you spend 5 years building out your blog and never get a single client from it, you can rest assured that the content will still bring you a return on your investment.
Real estate content is the new retirement plan.
