#5 - Rest and Relocation

#5 - Rest and Relocation

Hello!

It feels like a really long time since I've published a newsletter, because the truth is - it's been over a month.

But, as life does - it got in the way! And it's safe to say I've probably overworked myself and spread myself a little too thin.

You'd think after nearly 4 years of freelancing I'd have the special sauce for work-life balance, but I don't. I don't think anybody does.

Anyway! This newsletter is a bit more of a personal update for those who don't know, as I'm relocating to Australia in a couple of weeks.

It's been in the works since October last year (which shows how quickly time flies) and once my Visa had been accepted, I finally started getting excited for this next chapter in my life.

I never envisioned moving to Australia until around September last year, when I did a 6-week east coast trip and completely fell in love with Sydney.

I figured out the logistics and finances, and I'm in a place where moving to Sydney and expanding my freelancing business felt like a logical, natural step.

I've been on the go for a long time, and after settling and living in Bali for a year, I realised that it was time to try and find a more long-term base filled with work opportunities for me.

What does this mean for UK/EU clients?

Quite honestly, it means the same that it always has - business as usual :)

I will still be taking on UK and EU clients, and will be looking to keep and extend the current partnerships that I have. Working European hours is actually where I flourish, as afternoon and evening calls enable me to have "quiet time" and work even better during the day.

Clients prefer it, I prefer it, and it's a win-win for you all.

What does this mean for USA clients?

Unfortunately, I won't be taking on any new USA-based clients (or clients that require me to work on a USA time zone) any more.

What does this mean for Australian/HK/Singapore clients?

It means that we can continue/start working together! I love my Australian client base that I've managed to have over the past 4 years, and I'm looking to expand this and offer my services in-person, not just virtually.

Whether it's coming into your offices in Sydney, or hopping on a flight for a contract in Singapore, I've worked on a lot of high level marketing projects over the past 4 years and cannot wait to bring all of my knowledge and expertise to Oz!

I'll be back with my newsletter when I'm settled in Sydney, but for now - I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

See you soon!
