So what are Satoshis? Satoshis are a subunit of bitcoin. Each bitcoin contains 100 million Satoshis. I wanted to get that out of the way for anyone unfamiliar with how Bitcoin works.?
Why One Million? I have heard multiple people breaking down the numbers on how many satoshis you need to have. My favorite breakdown was from a speaker in a Clubhouse Room,?Black Bitcoin Billionaires, one of the best places I found early on for bitcoin for beginners. He suggested 1 million. I believe that 1 million Satoshis is a realistic number to achieve regardless of income level. Some can buy all at once, and others can do?dollar-cost averaging?to get there. The current price of one million satoshis (.01 Bitcoin) is $318.17, about $26.51 a month. So here's why I believe that you should own at least 1 million Satoshis by 2024
1.)?The Halvening--?It's when the price of bitcoin freaks out, and it usually goes up exponentially thereafter. Bitcoin halving occurs every 210, 000 blocks, approximately every 4 years. Halving is when the block reward given to bitcoin miners for generating new blocks is cut in half. The exact root cause for the strange phenomenon or connection between the halving and the drastic Bitcoin price increase is unknown. Still, it's often presumed that the price goes up because of the reduced supply of new blocks being generated.
2.) Possible World Reserve Currency. There is a lot of talk about Bitcoin becoming the world's reserve currency. Millionaires, billionaires, and companies are gobbling up bitcoin as a hedge against inflation because of bitcoin's ability to retain its high value. Many proponents of bitcoin see it as a store of value that could unseat the dollar as the world's reserve currency. This same sentiment was echoed by Crypto Pioneer Hal Finney, the first person to complete a bitcoin transaction. In 2010, Finney predicted that bitcoin would become the world's reserve currency on Bitcointalk.org.

3.)?The finite supply of Bitcoin. In total, there are only 21 million bitcoins. In contrast to many of the other popular cryptos that have a large total supply, bitcoin is a scarce asset that is highly valuable. For example, coins like DOGE or SHIBA INU have total supplies in the quadrillions or unlimited and ample circulating supplies. But with bitcoin, there is only 21 million total supply, and currently, just over 19 million bitcoins have?been mined and are in circulation. Leaving less than 2 million bitcoins left that are unmined. Once we pass 2024, owning an actual bitcoin will become rarer and more challenging to acquire. So the question will become not how many bitcoins do you have but how many satoshis do you own.
4.) Best performing asset class of the decade. Check the charts. The numbers say it all. The returns are the returns. Despite some of the fear-mongering around cryptocurrency and misinformation, the fact remains that Bitcoin is the best-performing asset class by the numbers. I have seen several graphics with a side-by-side analysis of bitcoin. You name it, Gold, Silver, Agro-Commodities, Cash, Growth Stocks, and regardless of the asset class, in every single one of the comparisons, Bitcoin beats every single one of them by a landslide. By the time 2024 hits, owning 1 Bitcoin will be the crypto equivalent of owning a share of Berkshire Hathaway stock,?performance-wise.??
5.) Lastly,?regret,?the numerous stories of people making life-changing money off Bitcoin are insane. Many bitcoin Millionaires and Billionaires are wealthy because they took a chance and invested in bitcoin 10 or 12 years ago. These people are not necessarily more intelligent or more hardworking than you or I. They simply bought some bitcoin and held on to it. On the flip side of all the happy stories are people filled with regret for not having acted on the opportunity to buy bitcoin or selling their bitcoin way too early.??
To put it into perspective for you,?$ 1,000?invested in Bitcoin on July 17, 2010, would be worth?$637,435,477.48,?according to this?BTC FOMO style profit calculator.
