LinkedIn was a head hunter’s dream platform.
It was an open, trade secret, where everyone knows about it but not everyone knows how to utilise it.
Fast forward to 2020 when the global pandemic hit, everyone was on there.
It now looks like Facebook, when it shouldn’t be.
It is a platform for business, getting new businesses and keeping up with the old ones.
I always talk about how to get leads on LinkedIn but here are the top reasons why it’s not working for you.
1. Pitching Too Early In The DM's
Nobody likes feeling like they're being "sold" to and it's the fastest way to ruin a relationship. Add value first, then give prospects the opportunity to learn more when they're ready.
2. No Creating Valuable and Relatable Content
The days of solely relying on cold outreach to generate leads are over. Putting out high quality content on a daily basis is not only crucial but a necessity to build relatability and trust.
3. Lack of follow-up
The average person gets on LinkedIn every 7-30 days so don't give up after the first follow up when talking to prospects. Put together AT LEAST 30 days worth of standardised follow-ups you can use over and over.

4. Not Consistently Adding Enough Connections
If you aren't adding at least 50-100 new targeted connections every day, you're leaving money on the table.
More connections =
More conversations =
More conversions.
5. Driving Traffic To An Unoptimised Profile
Even with the best marketing tactics, if your message and offer is unclear, people are unlikely to take action. Make it easy for people to understand what's in it for them and what the next step is.
