Let’s face it. We hear in network marketing all the time, how much they failed and that it didn’t work for their friend or family member.
But why? Why is failure prevalent in network marketing?
The failure rate is high because network marketing is such a low barrier to entry. We, as people, run away from pain. This is how our entire lives are made up.
If an activity is painful, we quit a lot of the time. Business is hard and network marketing is a business. Therefore when it takes only a couple hundred dollars to get started (we waste hundreds per week) then it’s easy to waste that hundred dollars.
Job Mentality
Most network marketers come from a job. In a job, you work and then you get paid.
Network marketing or direct sales isn’t that way. You get paid for persistence, keeping going and in the beginning, that will be pennies compared to the work you put in.
Lack Of Vision
You, as a network marketer, have to have the ability to see into the future and act as if you have it currently. Think about it, Rome wasn’t built in a day and it will take time for your business to be built.
Your team members need time to grow and develop to create success for themselves.
Short-Term Cash
Most people operate to generate short-term cash flow, not long-term wealth. If you operate this way in network marketing, you will never create a substantial residual income.
You have to ONLY worry about the long-term strategies. Residual income is something that you’ll break wall down to go get. Be patient.
Enjoying The Journey
Success is not a destination, it’s about who you become in the process of the journey. Network marketers, like anyone, typically want success yesterday.
This causes you to make bad decisions that otherwise would be completely different.
Sit back and relax, enjoy the journey. The problem is, if you don’t, you’ll never be happy anyways. It’s the journey where you will gain happiness.
Giving Up
The truth is, most network marketers just give up because it’s too dang hard and the sad part…
Many were inches away from success when they quit. Don’t be that person. Keep going. Remember, you’re becoming a better person the farther you go with network marketing.
The absolute worst scenario is you become an amazingly happy human being. Man, that stinks!
