5 reasons why I can't live without traveling (and why you should travel more too)

Going on a trip is a thrilling, transforming experience. Traveling as a process is one of the most gratifying things in life. As I have made it my job, traveling for me is a lifestyle. And I can say now that I travel for living (which is pretty cool).

Here are the 5 reasons why I can't live without traveling (and why you should travel more too)!

1. Exploration

Traveling is an exploration. You escape your comfort zone and open yourself to new experiences. You change, you discover more and become a better person. You get a better understanding of the other cultures, of the other people. And it feels great to learn more about the world.

2. Adventure

It is one thing to go from your house to your work, it is another thing to go from your house to another part of the world. Adventure may be different for different personalities. For some it is getting lost in the unknown city, for others it can be swimming with the sharks and some would be thrilled with speaking a foreign language for a first time. Nevertheless, adventure is what drives us and makes us feel alive.

3. Communication

There are billions of people on this planet. Each of us is a world of its own. I think it is amazing to get to communicate with other people, to transcend borders, to discover and understand that we are all different. Traveling is a unique chance to meet new people and hear their stories. Such an experience enriches you and gives you a drive to strive for more.

4. Admiration

When you travel you fall in love with the world. And this planet is a beautiful place filled with many wonders. They all await to be discovered. Each person has its own sense of beauty. It can be the mesmerizing landscapes of Iceland, narrow streets of Italian hilltop villages, architectural grandeur of Cambodian palaces or the azulejo tiles in Lisbon. When you learn to admire the beauty of the world it feels really good. But if you don't travel you'll never know.

5. Liberation

We all have our routines, we all have our lives that are far from simple. Traveling may not be the cure from the problems but it is a good medicine. When you board that plane, when you take your seat on a train you're taking a step away from your problems. And you're giving yourself a time to reflect what can be done to solve them.
