5 Reasons to Why Customer Satisfaction runs Businesses

5 Reasons to Why Customer Satisfaction runs Businesses

"Customer service should not be a department. It should be the entire company." -Tony Hsieh

'Customer is King' as we often might have heard everywhere. The customer decides which product will stay and which will not. Their perception of your product is the reality, every time? No. But does it matter if they are wrong? No. What a king says is the truth.

"There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else." -Sam Walton

Here are 5 reasons as to why a Customer is a King-

1.    You can't tell them what to do

A king does not like to be told what to do. A king only orders and takes none. He directs what he wants and not listens to what you have. A product or service must be made according to the customer because he is not bound to adjust. He can simply switch to other. Just like a king, they are the reason you get paid. Neglecting their needs and wants is like neglecting your source of income, so beware!

"It is not the employer who pays the wages. Employers only handle the money. It is the customer who pays the wages." – Henry Ford

2.    No customer-no product

A product only has a place if it creates value for the people who only then buy it. Your business can only run if there is a demand for what you wish to sell. If not, your inventory will be nothing but rusted over time.

"The sole reason we are in business is to make life less difficult for our clients" -Matt Odgers

3.    The customer makes or breaks a brand

They have the power to influence the market to a very great extent, at a point where you won't exist if they've found you not suitable.

"You'll never have a product or price advantage again. They can be too easily duplicated. But a strong customer service culture cannot be copied." – Jerry Fritz

Companies spend a huge amount of money on advertising and marketing to bring their product in front of their targeted customers but if there is no customer satisfaction they will switch. Who will stop them? Companies like Zappos and Dropbox are examples of how customers make a brand and AOL was killed because customers got frustrated by its bad service.

"People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care." -Teddy Roosevelt

4.    Satisfy 1-bring 100

'One satisfied customer brings a hundred more customers.' A customer's perception builds a company, it is the foundation. Customer reviews shape and modify other people's perceptions and therefore one person can decide how a hundred others will look at your product. One must better make that glance worthwhile. Nobody will see what counter-arguments you have to prove a review wrong. They will simply leave.

"Just having satisfied customers isn't good enough anymore. If you really want a booming business, you have to create raving fans." -Ken Blanchard

5.    They show reality

Ask your customers what they think of your product or service and you will know much more than what other employees or owners perceive. Let their opinions build your plan and not what you think must be.

"Spend a lot of time talking to customers face-to-face. You'd be amazed at how many companies don't listen to their customers." -Ross Perot

It all lies down to one basic principle. Make for those who wish to buy and make them stay so they don't switch.
