5 reasons why company pages can't make you money and ONE WAY HOW THEY EARN YOU ANYWAY

Here is why you can not expect too much from your marketing team when they are in charge of your company page:

POINT #1

As a company page, you can not ask the relevant counterpart for a connection (unless he or she is already a follower of your private profile).

POINT #2

Until recently, you could not have a private conversation with a company page. Now, it can be addressed, but it can not initiate the conversation. In practice, company pages still have close to zero private conversations, which is a critical issue since business is being made in private messages.

POINT #3

Company pages are having a hard time attracting impressions to their posts. Both because of POINT #1 and because of the absence of personal touch.

POINT #4

You can run paid ads, but they are mostly being ignored by relevant decision-makers.

POINT #5

Call-to-action buttons on company pages are not generating results, mostly because of POINT #1 - POINT #4.


THE ONE WAY HOW THEY EARN YOU ANYWAY:

are the interactions.


Namely:

  • not only likes, shares, and comments
  • but also follows to the company page (you can boost them by inviting followers to your private profile)
  • follows of a company newsletter
  • votes in the polls
  • page views (which is a new premium feature)


If you address relevant counterparts who have made this interaction towards your company profile by a proper message from your private profile, you have a good chance of generating the relevant lead.

Have we seen exceptions to the above-mentioned rules? Yeah. But in our experience, they are very rare.

Since you have to actively manage your company page, you may as well do it in an efficient manner based on data analysis of interactions.
