I have been stuck tinkering away on a new App and just as I was about to give up, alas! Ahh, the feeling you get when you find that old code you stored away in your res folder.
3. You develop out-of-the-box problem solving skills
Try extracting an sql file into a music activity then you'll understand. I'm not saying this will happen over night ok! But the more error messages you get, the better. Before you know it, you will be solving problems like it ain't no thing. Yes!
4. You can understand tech-speak anywhere
Ever been at a briefing and felt totally lost because of the amount of "jargon?" You don't have to if you know how to code. See, the more you code, the more jargon you will encounter. Pretty soon, you too will be conversing in the latest cool tech jargon. What? Did you expect me to drop one here? Go code!
5. You finally will be in charge of your DevOps
I don't know about you but I like to know what is going on with DevOps. One time I hired this developer to do a project and that was the last time. Coding allows you to know if an when a developer is blowing smoke up your rear. You can then re-direct that smoke and fire for effect! Save your time and budget, learn to code!
