So many business owners I meet, tend to fully understand the power of video content and what the potential is for their business if they start making them today. But, don't do it. Why?
It's basically 2019, and for at least the last 3-5 years, video production has been sky rocketing brands and businesses to the next level. So many smaller brands and businesses have still to yet get the camera out (Which is ironic considering the fact that WE ALL have high quality cameras on our mobiles)
So whats stopping you getting in front of the camera, to start sharing value with your audience? Sharing advice, tips, tricks and secrets that will help your audience get the result they desire.
The Reasons
Here are the top 5 reasons to why business owners aren't making videos. Which one do you fall into?
- They are too awkward or shy to get in front of camera. Although deep down they know that building the 'like, know and trust' factor with their audience is crucial.
- They plan ahead and get it all ready, but add it to the 'to-do' list and it never gets done, thinking that it is a 'Nicety' rather than a 'Necessity'
''We don't need to do that, we just need to carry on what we've been doing for the last 25 years'' - Said some actual business owners
- They don't have a clue where to start! They can't think of any video ideas there clients will value and therefore never get the ball rolling.
- They don't have the time. Being the busy business owners they are, it might not have even crossed their mind. Or they don't have the time to put a side a single day to do a bunch of videos (I think its more like number 1 if this is the case)
- They can't afford a professional camera team. This is likely to them being perfectionists rather than not having the budget. Now days, professional video production doesn't have to break the bank.
The Solutions
Now, just a quick 3 reasons why you REALLY should, sit down today, only for an hour or so, write the titles for 5-10 videos that your audience will find value from, think of where you're going to post them, and get them filmed.
- Don't be shy. People care why too less about you and your business than themselves.
- Video is a NECESSITY. We are fighting for attention. Now with EVERYONE being able to post videos (And doing so indeed!), you will be forgotten.
- Don't have a clue? Look at your FAQ page of your website. Answer 5-10 of those questions and answers to camera. Done.
- Find the time. You talk about this stuff everyday with your clients. Just do it to a camera and take no longer than 2-3 minutes to get a cross what you want to say
- You don't need a pro team. Find a window, some nice light, in a quiet room, a clean back ground, either hold your phone or ask someone to film you. It doesn't have to be perfect, just get it out there. If your not making a sound, no one will hear you!
Please don't let anything stop you. Do it now, as soon as you have read this post. You know that if you don't, you wont. And please, leave a comment to say you have done it, I would love to see your videos!
Don't get left behind. Next year is going to move fast.
