5 quick sales tips!

5 quick sales tips!

With the headlines that I am reading about companies and industries struggling - I thought it is the perfect time to share some of my sales tips. The great part of these 5 tips is that they can easily be adapted to suit your online requirements alongside your in-person meetings.?

Something I strongly believe in is that everything is always a sale, In your personal life and work and that a sales skillset is something that should be taught at school.?

Sales and Growth skills will always be required in the world, As technology grows and industries become increasingly competitive.

?? 5 of my personal sales tips! ??

____________

1) Confidence

In selling, Confidence is key. Confidence in your product, your service and yourself!

You cannot be expecting someone to buy something from you or hire your services if you are not confident in the product or service yourself. A quick way to build that confidence is to do enough training. You don’t need ALL the answers but you need to know what you are talking about. Start reading books and doing courses about building your self-confidence, many tricks can be used to instantly get the confidence that you need - Personally, I have a “boss mood” playlist!?

2) Knowledge

Knowledge often gets mistaken for product knowledge, Which fair enough is very important, But you should have general knowledge of your prospective client, Who are they? Where do they come from? Any talking points to BUILD A RELATIONSHIP. Your knowledge of who you are selling to is just as important as the product you are selling or the service you are offering. Does it even make sense for them? Knowing your ideal client and prospect makes the sale 10x easier.?

3) Don’t be scared

This is something I see every day and hear about every day that I cannot get over! - STOP BEING SCARED! I cannot stress this enough, The phone is not going to bite you! The sales calls are not beneath anyone and give you the perfect opportunity to start building a relationship with your prospective client. Sales are relationships, You cannot build a relationship over an email. Look at “The Wolf Of Wallstreet” did it look like they were scared of picking up the phone??

The stranger is not going judge you - And if they do, Move on to the next one!?

4) Energy

Anyone that has ever met me will always comment on my high energy. People like working with and doing business with high energy. It inspires people and gives the affirmation of confidence. As mentioned in the confidence tip, You need to find ways to push your energy levels up. For example, a playlist works but the best tip I can give you is exercise and gamification. Create a game for yourself on how many calls you can do today. Create a game that after every call that you do, You must do 20 pushups. Not only will this increase your energy levels but also gives you the time to shake off the previous call and get your mindset ready for the next one.?

5) Honesty

Honesty is the best policy for a reason. Salespeople get bad reputations for lying to a client just to close the sale and that's a very short-sighted view. Not only will you be ruining your company's reputation but your own as well, Do you think they will ever buy from you again? No! - Rather be honest, If you don’t know something, tell them you don’t know and get them the information they need. The product doesn’t suit their needs? Cool! Maybe in 3 months, By being honest you are building a relationship that you can carry through life, Maybe onto the next sale or even the next product/service that you offer one day.?

Each of these tips could be broken down and elaborated on in posts of their own. If you or anyone you know would like some help with their selling skills or how to take their product to market, Feel free to reach out!
