For our February edition, we have spoken with our Head of FS Service Delivery, Matt Barnes

Question One - How has the role of a Service Delivery function changed over the years?

Service Delivery is a new function to Financial Services at Studio bringing together vendor and relationship management, product ownership, system strategy knowledge and expertise. With the changes being introduced in the regulatory environment our job is make sure our strategy and operational teams have the tools, systems, and services available to make sure deliver the right outcomes for our customers.

Question Two - What are your 2023 predictions for how Service Delivery will change?

The Service Delivery function will be key to delivering the ongoing operating model for Studio, the 2023 challenge is to ensure that our 3rd Party suppliers understand our strategic vision and support our growth plans whilst ensuring the systems, services, and tools we have in place are up to date ready for growth.

Stakeholder engagement, effective procedures and processes, clear documentation will be key enablers to delivering the change agenda for 2023.

Question Three - How can systems and technology support Studio’s departments?

Systems and technology is everything we do, we cannot operate supporting our customers without the correct tools and the 3rd Party suppliers we need to deliver our strategic goals.

Technology is used to ensure we can provide customer decisions and outcomes in an effective and timely manner across the credit risk lifecycle and as both regulation and customer expectations change, we need to ensure we have everything in place to adapt quickly and efficiently.

?Question Four - What is your favourite part of being in Service Delivery?

Service Delivery at Studio is exciting because its new, we are able to support all our colleagues across Financial Services to execute their strategies, deliver good outcomes for customers, and add value to Studio. No two days are the same, working with Strategy, Change and IT, Compliance, Business Incident Teams gives a holistic view of what we do at Studio!
