1.????? Chloe, how would you describe your approach to quantity surveying?

I like to have a very collaborative approach, actively engaging with the consultant team throughout each phase of the design process. This ensures cost, construction methodology and market conditions are considered.

2.????? Do you have a favourite project you've worked on? What did it involve and what made it special for you?

My favourite project would be The Pacifica given its significant presence in the Auckland skyline. I take pride in being a part of its realisation.

3.????? How do you communicate cost-related information to stakeholders who may not have a technical or financial background?

I prioritise and focus on key takeaways to prevent overwhelming the individual and provide real world examples that the stakeholder can relate to.

5.????? As an experienced quantity surveyor, what is your main advice to other quantity surveyors working in the construction industry right now?

Building robust relationships is fundamental for a successful project. It is vital to cultivate strong ties with the Contractor and Consultants involved in the project. This collaborative approach ensures a cohesive and integrated workflow throughout various stages of the project.
