From experience, I've learned that there is a difference between making sales and making great sales.

One distinct thing that differentiates competitors is the sales they make.


For instance, I may be a digital marketer with five others, but what will differentiate me from others is definitely my sales power.

That is, if others are making about 70 sales per day and I'm making about 150 sales per day, even though we're all making sales, it's obvious that I know better because I make more sales than them.


Below are tested and trusted things to do to improve your sales as a Business Owner:


Create An Attractive Offer Relating To What You Do:

One of the best ways to attract and keep customers is by giving out offers.

These offers are not necessarily free items.

Avoid giving out free items so that you won't be forced back to your village. ??


In fact, giving out free items makes your business look shady because nothing is free, even in Freetown.

Rather, consider innovative ways to create offers that are irresistible.

These offers may include giving discounts, especially in bulk purchases, which will increase bulk purchases and automatically increase your sales and profit.


Proffer effective solutions to customers' problems and celebrate returning customers, among other strategies.

Everyone wants to be celebrated or appreciated as a result of our ego, so use the ego to your advantage.


Massage their ego and, in turn, attract people to your business and retain them.

Generating great sales is not always easy because of the highly competitive market, so creating an irresistible offer is something that can help you generate great sales.

Like I always say, "the lifeblood of every business is the customers."


Your customer base ought to be the center of every decision made because these people are so powerful and instrumental to any growth or depreciation of any business.

Don't just focus on getting money from your customers alone.


Make it your duty to give your customers value for what they pay for. ??

Get feedback from your customers upon every purchase and ensure you continually improve on the value of your products.


Market The Benefit of Your Product:

Always emphasize the importance of patronage.

The benefits of your products shouldn't be found anywhere else.

There must be unique and specific benefits of purchasing your product which are diverse.

It may include very swift delivery, free gifts, great value, etc.


Upselling and Cross-selling:

Upselling involves the upgrading of products in such a way that people will be compelled to buy.

For instance, if you sell regular polo shirts for ?3,000, you can include in your stock designer shirts that cost about ?10,000 or above and sell out its benefits to make your purchasers see the reason why they need to buy that designer polo shirt instead of the regular polo shirts they buy.

This relates to sales psychology.


Also, cross-selling involves the selling of two different items together. Most people call it combo sales.

Instead of selling just one product, you include other products to make the offer attractive, and by doing so, you increase your sales.

If you sell only one product, you can collaborate with other business owners to reach their audience.
