5 Powerful Tips I Have Used To Close $50K Sales In 12 Months.

One of the things I struggled with in my early days as a digital marketer is;

“Closing leads and turning them into customers with high purchasing power.”?

To survive as a marketer, you need to constantly generate leads.

Now, what happens when these leads arrive in your inbox? ????

From statistics, over 40% of these leads are never closed, this is directly linked to the strategy deployed.

In marketing, what you say is as important as how you say it.

A few months ago, I was in a discussion with a good friend of mine who was also a course creator.

He employed the services of a copywriter to help him promote one of his high-ticket courses.

Each day he got new leads and people making inquiries about his course, but sadly they ended up not converting.

This kept him awake for several nights. He had decided to stop working with his copywriter because he felt the problem was with his copywriter.

But that’s the mistake a lot of people make today.

A copywriter who has written copy that brings people to message you each day has done a great job.

A good copywriter will help you attract the right people, but the job of closing them is yours entirely.

Except you decide to employ the services of a Sale Closing Expert.

I took out time to go over his conversation with these leads when they arrived in his inbox, and that was the major problem.

He wasn’t responding to their questions the right way and wasn't also asking them the right questions. ????

If you intend to sell to people, you should learn the art of communicating like a marketer.

Humans are more emotional than logical. They buy with emotions and then go further to justify them logically.

To get them to part with their money, you need to eat deep into their emotions.

I helped him do a follow-up and initiated conversations with the people who had earlier shown interest in his course.

We got feedback from 10 people and eventually converted 3 of them in a week.

What did I do?

I deployed the right communication strategies.

Here are 5 sentences to enhance your communication with your next prospect to make sure they convert:

???Seek To Solve Problems:

People are particularly intrigued when they realize that you are more concerned with solving their problems that selling to them.

Rather than asking questions like; “what is it going to take for you to buy my product/services today?”

Stoke their emotions by asking questions that show concern;

“Hi John, I appreciate your interest in my product/services today. But I need to know your problem to be sure this will bring you the expected result”.

Don’t always be in a hurry to sell. Learn to nurture leads and build a great relationship with them.

?? Don’t Use Words That Portray You as a Pest When You Follow Up:

It's important to follow up on your leads twice or three times a week, but you don't have to sound like a pest while at it.

Rather than the usual "Hello, good morning, I am just checking in",?

Be more conversational and friendly when you say,

"Hello John, it has been a minute. Have been quite busy with helping people solve problems (Remember the problem they spoke to you about? Put it here), I just had time to get back to you"...

Being conversational and friendly while selling doesn't have to be mutually exclusive.

?? Don't Be At Their Mercy:

You may not know, but certain words portray you as being dependent on your prospect's money to survive.

Yes, I know you need the money, but don't show it. You own this game, learn to play it.

So, rather than saying "I am so sorry for the late response",?

Be the boss when you say;

"Hello John, I appreciate your patience. I have just been a bit behind schedule, so let's talk now".

This way you don't just get to position yourself as someone with value but also as a human who can relate to being behind target or goals.

?? Don't Ever Sound Like You Have All the Time in the World:

That Smells like desperation.

When you say "So, when do you want me to call you?", you are just giving the "I solely depend on your money and I have all the time in the world for you" vibe

Be an authority when you say this:

"You know, it can be a bit challenging to randomly get to me without pre-scheduling".

I can pull up my calendar so you can book a suitable time. This way I don't eat into your schedule, and you don't eat into mine as well"

How does that sound?

You are practically saying the same thing but positioning yourself as an authority.

This is how you make people trust you enough to give you, their money.

?? Don't Be A Pushy Marketer:

You may not realize it, but certain words you use drive your prospect away rather than keep them.

There's a difference between being persuasive and being pushy.

When you say, "You should go with us because XYZ", you feel as though you are positioning value, but in a real sense, you are being unstrategically pushy.

Words as this;

"You know, I'm not quite sure that you should yet. I'd need to learn a bit more to see if we can help you".

Persuasion is you proving that beyond all reasonable doubt your product/services are their best option.

But you can only do this when you fully understand their problems and desires.

Using proof and reviews tend to make people trust you more and your ability to solve their problems/handle their projects.

Learning to be in control of your communication with your prospects is one secret to closing multiple sales.

I have used these strategies and more to close $50k in sales in 12 months.
