5 points that will help you recruit right.

Hello HR/ Recruiters

Greetings of the Day!

One of the biggest challenges recruiters across the globe invariably face, is that candidates aren’t absolutely truthful on their CV's. A recent NBC study estimated that over 250,000 professionals are fired by their employers much after them joining, for being dishonest in their CV's.

Now that’s grave! So here are a 5 ways to ensure you’re recruiting right.

  1. Do the right kind of background check

Instead of asking your agencies to look for criminal records, previous employment history, or credit histories and defaults, ask them to look into the credibility of their current CTC, skill set, or alignment with company culture claims first.

  1. Ask the references unexpected questions

Every reference is taught what to say and what not to say. But the references’ response cannot be controlled if you ask unexpected questions that are specific to the role the candidate played in that organization, and map it to what he/she boasts of in the CV.

  1. Look for the deeds, not the words

Every recruiter must evolve into looking for ways to make the candidate prove what he is saying. It is easy enough for the candidate to say that he/she has a particular skill set. Do not it on face value. If possible make him/her prove it.

  1. You may trust, but You MUST verify

Ideally, following this simple step is good enough to avoid a bad hire. Get the candidate to perform a simple task or small project. Right there, you’ll have tested gold through fire.

  1. Never stop looking

You might have found your rock star employee. But you must never stop looking. Keeping an eye out, will not let great talent go unnoticed. He/she maybe just the addition your organization needs.

Have a Nice Day!
