5 Phases Of Your Awakening

Walking through your awakening is a lot like walking through the woods. Hard to know which way to go unless you know the land or have a guide.

Think of these steps as your map...

Here are the 5 phases of your awakening:

  1. You experience some kind of loss in your life...you're promoted but money has now lost its value...you lose a family member...you lose a romantic relationship...or maybe you lose a job...you lose something...and then...
  2. You re-evaluate your priorities...is this what I'm really looking for? Is this job right for me? Do I have a higher purpose? In relationships, is there something I'm missing? Who am I becoming? These questions then lead you to...
  3. You start seeking answers from family members, co-workers, therapists, books, podcasts, or mentors...maybe you start journaling...and maybe you get some momentum...but after a while you start to feel discouraged because you're wondering if anyone has ever actually* solved this problem...if anyone has built their life on a strong foundation, well-rounded, healthy, and aligned authentically...you look around but don't see anyone truly leading...so then...
  4. You're forced to face your own victim mentality. What kinds of things are within your control / responsibility vs. what's not within your control / responsibility that causes wasted energy? The wool is pulled off as you start to see all the changes you need to make...now you go from a more passive "asking God for help" to actually proactively making changes yourself...then...
  5. You realize it's a journey...that you can't change 10 years (or a lifetime) of decision-making in just 10 days or even 10 months...so while effort matters, time is a major ingredient...so you start to look for different ways that are going to help you sustain the healing and changing that's happening...and this is when you really start growing. You are changing how* you make decisions (even if you come to the same outcomes). You stop trying to convince other people of the problem. You accept the fact that everyone has their own path while you continue to seek God's wisdom. And, over time, your life becomes more aligned with God's design for who you're made to be and the impact you're made to have...personally and professionally...even through your mistakes...in all the victories and suffering that takes place...you have a deep sense of peace because of the God you follow and the choices you've made.

This is not an easy journey. It's a road few will take. So it may seem isolating. But God will bring you through it. Keep seeking.

Always feel free to reach out.
