5 New Strategies to Embrace when Searching for a job.

5 New Strategies to Embrace when Searching for a job.

Effective strategies are critical to land a job in today’s competitive job market but you need to look beyond customizing your resume, crafting a perfect cover letter, creating a brand, networking, working hard on the job interview and so on. These are just the apart part of the iceberg. They are important but not the most important.

Searching for a job is an inner journey that starts from solving your inner doubt and confusions. It is about your mindset and your attitudes. ?

Today, there are 50 million users are using LinkedIn to search for jobs every week . And there are over 15.7 million open positions on LinkedIn jobs. 87% of recruiters use LinkedIn regularly.

So, how can you set yourself apart from everyone independently if you are a manager, an executive, a consultant, or a leader in your field??

Here Five new strategies to consider in your job search:

1.???Look inside before outside

The first thing to start with is to recognize that you are valuable and that you have always something to offer to others. Recruiters will hire you and trust you when you demonstrate that you trust and believe in your capabilities.

To find a job, you need to shift from feeling needy or being in want to feeling valuable by embracing new ways of thinking, feeling and acting:

Instead of saying:

I need a job. I am stuck. I feel broke. I cannot handle it anymore. I tried everything but..

Replace it by positive words.

I am valuable. I have the right skills. I have a service to offer. My time will come..

I know it may be difficult to say things and feel otherwise but you need to know that

Your dignity matters.
Your confidence matters.
Your energy matters.
YOU matter.

Your words and intentions have a direct impact on your general health. Dr; Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, studied the scientific evidence of how the molecular structure in water changes depending on the words, thoughts, sounds and intentions. In his book, the Hidden messages in water. He explained how water exposed to positive words and intentions can transform the molecular formations in the water and the opposite is true.

2. Overcome your inner resistance

A lot of people are searching for jobs but they don't know what they really want.

Ask yourself: Do you have full confidence that this is really what you want.?Make sure you are not giving up on a dream in the process.

Thriving deep inside you for something and going for something else is the open door to confusion and loss of opportunities.

These opportunities will show up in your life when you are fully confident about what you want and ready for the journey. Inner doubt and resistance are what will hinder you from getting what you want and not lack of opportunities.

Try to solve all these inner conflicts before searching for a job. The moment you overcome your inner doubt and confusion, the opportunities will show up.

3. Change your?perception about rejection or failure

?Have you ever wondered why some people feel stressed, frustrated and even depressed when faced with big challenges like this epidemic and why others manage to see the positive side of it and move on? Why some people are very happy with what they have and why others are hunted with grief and grudge even when they have everything? Why some always find new means even when they are stuck and others give up easily??

Everything is about perception. When you perceive the situation as a threat, then it will trigger negative emotions and your emotions will impact how you feel about it which will determine the actions or the reactions you will take.

Change your perception about rejection and failures as sometimes they may be a great peace of luck to you.

4. Do things differently

Start doing things differently as you don’t have to follow the opinions of others. Every person is different and every experience is different as well. Find your own way of doing things and this itself will set you apart from many. ?

Instead of applying for a job everywhere without a plan, list the companies or organizations that reflect your interest and start applying with a clear plan and intention. Start assessing the company’s values and check if they are aligned with yours. Learn more about the people of the organization, the culture and the person you will be working with.

Working in a toxic environments and cultures may cost you more than what you will earn. Don't trade a salary for your health, family and general well-being.

Instead of preparing for every potential question that will may or may not be asked during an interview, be clear about your own questions. You are offering a service. And it is about your future and your time. Assess the employer’s credibility. Not all headhunters and employers are reliable.

Some of them may have no clue of the hiring etiquettes and norms, with all my respect to those who do it with integrity and respect to the dignity of others.

Instead of feeling frustrated when rejected, be aware that not all rejections from employers has to do with your competencies or skills. Often, it has to do with like the budget, change of decisions, and priorities.

5. Detach yourself from the results

Being in stress or frustration of finding a job will serve for nothing as it may just add more frustration to it.

?When a farmer decides to plant seeds for whatever reason, he does not stress every day looking at his seeds if they started coming up. He has a complete trust that he will get the expected results in the right season.?

This is how you need to treat your goals. Despite the absence of immediate results, you need to trust that the job will come at the right moment.

Always feel valuable, recognize your inner worth, and choose positive words. Solve your inner your confusions and make sure you are ready for the opportunity.
Start doing things differently, learn new skills, connect more and share more.
