2. Should companies have space on their radar? ?

Despite the pandemic, investment in the space sector continues to gather momentum and organizations are democratizing access to space like never before. Businesses can now launch satellites and acquire new capabilities, such as space-based manufacturing and precision farming - and it doesn’t stop there. Companies can also use satellite data to fine-tune their strategies, improve efficiency, and track their carbon footprint more reliably; helping to increase trust at a time when customers are demanding more transparency. For example, satellites can now track the health of physical infrastructure such as gas pipelines, identify mineral deposits, or track deforestation and carbon emissions. But it’s fair to say that while space may be 'open for business,' companies should approach with caution.?

Nearly 52% of consumers who intend to buy a car in the next 24 months would prefer either a fully electric, plug-in hybrid or hybrid vehicle, according to a 2022 EY report. This shift has largely taken place within the last two years; 20% of car-buying respondents plan to buy a fully electric car in 2022, compared to just 7% in 2020. So, what’s caused this? There are multiple factors at play, namely rising gas prices and environmental concerns. With streaming accounting for $16.9 billion (65%) of total music revenue in 2021, music companies are under growing pressure to modernize their e-commerce platforms. As fans increasingly seek out unique experiences like online interactions with their favorite artists, the pressure is on record labels to shift their commercial focus. The music industry is evolving and the shift away from record sales presents record labels with both a challenge and an opportunity to help artists and fans connect in new ways. Well, as regards the confidence in electric vehicles, we can say it looks promising having reviewed the Euromonitor's 2022 EV Readiness Index putting Norway, Austria and the UK as the leading nations while the US, Canada and Japan also looking promising. However, the main concern is still on the key and most important component of an EV - the battery! The battery health management system is one sector still very young with a lot to explore towards improving the lifecycle of the battery (the in-life, second useful life and end-of-life phases). Owing to the fact that the battery replacement cost after the expected useful life (EUL) has had many of the early EV owners unhappy as their cars approached their warranty expirations. Looking to cough out thousands to replace the battery. From governmental legislation enabling the EV ecosystem to collaborative solutions from the Vehicle and Battery OEMs on real-time monitoring battery state of health (SoH) - will help improve the battery lifecycle and save users a lot. The future is green as emphasized in the 2022 EY green economy report, so we need to align ourselves to embrace the inevitable in this social cum innovation revolution era.
