Not sure where to begin? Here are 5 things you will need if you desire to become trauma-informed...?
One of the most common themes of feedback I receive from folks whether it is after a training, an integration support call or even just conversations, sounds like this:
"Wow, this is affirming everything I am already doing"
"This isn't as complicated as I thought it would be"
"I didn'trealize it could be this simple"
I love witnessing a wave of relief and then a sense of confidence wash over people who realize that trauma-informed care is not that complicated.?
At least, it doesn't have to be.?
It's small, intentional shifts that are applied and practice that make a HUGE impact.?
>> An impact on your clients or customers feeling like they can trust you which can lead to brand loyalty, referrals and potential business expansion.?
>> An impact on your clients or customers feeling like they can access safety in your presence, which can lead to people being more honest, ability to go deeper, and create with more possibilities.?
>> An impact for you and your team feeling like you have more capacity because you are honoring your boundaries, regulating your nervous system and confidently leading your values out loud which can lead to burnout prevention and sustainability.?
Trauma-informed care offers simple ways to organically build trust and promote safety in a way that feels both inviting to others and supportive for YOU.

The way I interpret, express, and deliver trauma-informed care is not the only way or the best way.?
I don't teach in prescriptions. I teach in invitations. I'm always encouraging you that you know yourself best.
The number one thing I will ALWAYS recommend is to practice discernment.?
Trust yourself, and find people and programs that resonate most with you. Explore and ask questions.?
I am not coming into this space saying my vision for a trauma-informed future is the vision or the only vision.

I am just here and open and willing to continuously learn and unlearn and be with other people who have this shared vision so that we can collectively come together to co-create it together.?
So with that being said, here are a few things you will need to become trauma-informed:
1. A desire that's aligned with your values.
2. A qualified trainer/ training to learn how to adopt this approach and integrate it across the spaces you lead in.
3. This work is relational so find mentors and peer support with people you can ask questions, build trust and community around
4. Utilize tools and support to actively integrate what you learn into everyday practice
5. Commit to ongoing education, practice, and integration by honoring this approach as an evolution, not an arrival.
The reason why I believe trauma-informed care can be simple and doable is because I utilize practical tools to make it that way.?
And I have turned those tools into toolkits to share with you so you too can easily apply and practice them in your everyday life.
I took the four most common components of trauma-informed care that my clients were seeking support for and turned them into actionable and reusable toolkits: nervous system care, knowing your scope of practice, consensual communciations, and harm repair planning.
In this with you,
