5 Mistakes People Make With Traffic Generation
In the real world, you mention traffic and people's minds immediately go to that hot summer's day when they were trapped in a 20-mile tailback on the M25. Yet online, traffic is a good thing - it's something that everyone wants. Needs.
Because if you don't have traffic, then you don't visitors to your offers, and you don't make sales the easy way. In fact, without traffic business online isn't actually a business; it's an expensive hobby.
5 Mistakes People Make With Traffic Generation:
1.??Spamming
Nobody likes a spammer. And yes, one person's spammer is another person's beginner who is just getting a feel for things. If your emails and updates are inundating your customers’ inboxes and social media feeds, people will be put off and ignore you. They'll tune you ut. Even worse, they might report you and hurt your standing with your email service provider or social media platform. Try to post consistently, but not overwhelmingly, and always present the best quality content you can create.
2.??Keyword Stuffing
If you are cramming your content with tons of keywords, search engines may also categorize you as a spammer. Choose just a few top keywords to use in your content and vary the phrasing to sound natural. And sure, keywords aren't as important as they once were, but they're what people type into the search box. And if you are creating the right content, they'll find you. And if their first impression of you is 14 mentions of the word lawnmower in a 6 sentence paragraph then you're in huge trouble.
3.??Staying with free programs
If you’ve been trying to generate traffic for a while and have seen your results plateau, it may be time to update your programs. It’s fine to use a free program when you’re just getting started, but upgrading to a paid system will allow you to expand your traffic generation tenfold. What does this mean? If your method of traffic generation is email marketing, and you are limited to 1000 free contacts, you'll find your ability to grow hindered by the thought you might have to pay. Pay for it anyway. You want these services to stay in business, and you want the growth mindset. The same with social media tools, don't limit yourself to marketing only with what's in the free allowance. Move into the paid tools. Not only do you get better support, but you will also find yourself using the tools more often and therefore getting better results!
4.??Over-promoting

In any form of marketing, there must be a balance between promoting and informing your customers. If you are only pushing your products and services 24/7, your customers will get tired of it. The majority of your marketing should seek to help your customers solve their problems, with some promotion thrown in. This is why we create a lot of blog posts on our website. We firmly believe that an educated customer is the best customer. And where better to educate someone? Our online home!
Popular content includes Blogging Ideas, Email Marketing Resources and Website Resources. The goal for all of our content is to help our potential customers make the right decisions for their business.
5.??Only using one method
Even though you may see great results with SEO, only using one traffic generation method will leave you stagnant. Being too reliant on one method can also be dangerous if that method suddenly becomes obsolete. I used to do a lot of forum marketing, and it was great. I met many people and became firm friends. Until one day I was deemed a bad influence and removed from the platform. Ouch! My supply of red hot leads was gone in a heartbeat.
Since then I've not committed to any platform other than my own, and I diversify traffic for my clients too. Mix it up and try to use at least 3 traffic generation strategies so you don't get caught out. It's not about doing all the right things and hoping nothing will happen. What happens if your main accounts are hacked? Or you're locked out of your emails, or you can't activate 2-factor authentication in time... Sometimes things go wrong and you cannot fix them. If you are diversified, you don't take a hit!
