WHAT I RECOMMEND
This is Sharon Salzberg's new book with lots of clear and inspiring writings. It includes many ways to stay calm and move forward. From choosing to simply ‘do the good that is in front of you,' to reading a meaningful piece from an interview with a kind leader, to quotes from people Sharon admires, and reminders of how to practice meditation, this pithy book reminds us that we are always on the right path, because it is our own. Wild Geese
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.

Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain

over the prairies and the deep trees,

Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting -
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
