5 Marketing Action Items for July 2022

In this edition I breakdown 5 action items that can help make a positive change now in these times where we as marketers (especially those of us in Saas) see many of our friends, colleagues, and peers getting laid off. If this reaches your inbox and you are one of those impacted by layoffs dm me.

1.Demand Gen Playbook: 5 Ways To Drive Revenue In A Down Market - Zack Alspaugh - MadKudu

Action Item: Be proactive, look to expansion, retention, and stalled deals. This is a great article top to bottom full of insights and I highly recommend reading through it.

2.Google Autocomplete: More than a Free Keyword Research Tool - Ann Smarty - Moz

Action Item: For those of you who need to put down your PPC hats and pick up your SEO hats this is a great overview of Autocomplete and low key bookmark reminder for Keyword suggestions. If you want more keyword suggestion tools shoot me a DM!

3.Marketing and Sales in a Recession: Lessons from 2008 - Sujan Patel

Action Item: First get your head right then get analytical. This is one of the hardest things for me personally taking stock in what I can control, then getting after it.

4.New Updates To Google Page Experience Scoring Revealed At SEODay - Brian Frederick - SEO Journal

Action Item: Mobile first indexing is no longer google will rank desktop ranking based on desktop experience and mobile ranking based of mobile. Video and Images becoming even more important in search so don't forget those Alt tags and rename images before uploading.

5.Top 10 Marketing Trends by Marketing Leaders - SetUp

Action Item: I look to articles like this as being able to get insights for future marketing direction from those at the top of their craft - CMO's. Plug for SetUp if you are a marketer check out their marketing relationship survey to get some free exposure for your company.
