#5 Lesson: Top 3 learning trends to look forward to

I have seen predictions for the 2023 trends in eLearning, so instead of trying to predict the future - I will share my thoughts on things that I know will keep me busy this year ??

?? AI will be a helpful tool to produce training

It would be hard to skip the mention of AI as GPT-3 and GPT-3.5 and easy access to it through tools like Chat GPT, Midjourney, etc. has been making waves in every single professional community. I hope AI will help all content creators speed up launching their programs and remove some previously costly parts of course creation. We certainly have something up in our sleeve regarding this!

?? ?? Learning communities getting organized

YouTube has been a go-to platform for sharing knowledge for any possible skill. Many individuals spend their time creating videos on different topics with quality sometimes. These communities live now on Discord servers, YouTube, and other platforms.

Maybe this is the year some of them get organized and turn their content to a more structured format and business model around it that protects their content better. They are the subject matter experts but with some pedagogical best practices, their results would greatly improve.

?? Learning platform becomes the tool in the daily life of an organization (instead of just a place for your early mandatory information security training..)

If you think about how many life-improving tools, services, and ideas have been introduced to your daily life in past years you start to wonder what would be the best way to tell about these tools to your co-workers.

In many cases, quick clear training on Chat GPT would ensure everybody knows how to use it properly within a week instead of (months..) when HR has time to look into if they have resources to produce and release the training... Organizations deserve a tool to share skills and knowledge in a more structured way than just a Slack chat.

At Claned, we have already started a new upskilling project called “Learning lab”. There everybody in the organization shares their knowledge, and we will document those learning on our platform for later use. If you want to know more about it you can read posts from Chris and Aino.

Time will tell if I have been spending my time with the right types of eLearning :) Regardless, I think these are areas to have an impact this year.
