5 Key Steps to Increase Your LinkedIn Profile Views and Attract Recruiters for Jobs in Dubai
In this post, I’m going to show you how to get more views on your LinkedIn profile, and attract recruiters in Dubai.
Think of LinkedIn as a game. Views are your points—the more views you get, the more points you score.
Why are views important?
Because the more views you have, the higher your chances of getting your profile in front of a recruiter. At the end of the day, this is a numbers game—the more you ‘take the shot,’ the better your chances of scoring.
Here are 5 straightforward, no-nonsense steps to gain more views on LinkedIn for anyone looking for a job in Dubai:
Profile Picture
First impressions matter. Your profile picture is your first impression on LinkedIn—it's your face to the world.
Just like when you meet someone in person, they size you up as much as you do them. LinkedIn is no different, except you’re doing it online.
Choose a profile picture that fits the industry you're aiming for in Dubai. Pay attention to the details. Just as you wouldn’t wear a three-piece Tom Ford suit to work in a shawarma shop in Dubai (and if you do, let me know which one!), you need to think carefully about what you’re wearing in your profile picture.
My suggestion:
The key to a great picture is having a professional take it for you. Pick a versatile outfit that aligns with Dubai’s professional dress codes (ideally 3 outfits, so you can adjust depending on the industry or role). If you can afford a professional photo session in Dubai, go for it—it’s definitely worth the investment.
If not, that’s okay! You can work wonders with an iPhone and a good photo app these days.
To take it up a notch, try using AI-powered tools that professionalize your picture. They’ll cost a fraction of what a professional photographer would charge and still deliver great results, helping you stand out in Dubai’s competitive job market.
Banner
Often overlooked, but not after you read this.
Your banner is like an extension of your profile picture. Many people don’t realize that your banner is visible when your profile appears as "suggested," so make sure you take care of it.
You don’t need anything fancy—simple is better. Avoid anything too intricate or weird quotes. Keep it clean and to the point, especially since Dubai’s job market values professionalism and clear messaging.
Go to Canva, search for "LinkedIn Banner," and find a free, professional-looking option. Consider incorporating elements that resonate with Dubai’s dynamic business environment, such as cityscapes or subtle references to the industries you’re targeting.
Bonus points if you can match the background of your profile picture with the banner for a cohesive look.
Headline/Bio
The headline is what you write underneath your profile picture, and it shouldn’t be more than a few words.

The reader should instantly understand what you do at a quick glance. If they have to stop for more than a second to figure it out, it's not a good headline.
You have the freedom to add whatever you want, but keep it simple. In Dubai’s job market, clarity is key—employers and recruiters should quickly grasp your role and how you contribute.
Start by stating your current title, or elevate it slightly by explaining how you help others in your role. Just don’t overcomplicate it—if you go overboard, the person reading won’t know what you actually do.
And remember, you want to make sure the reader knows exactly what you do.
In other words,?cortita y al pie—keep it short and direct, which is especially important in a fast-paced city like Dubai.
Posting and Commenting
Keep spinning the wheel. What do I mean by this?
You won’t get many views if you’re not putting yourself out there. Don’t expect people to visit your profile just because it exists.
There are thousands of people like you and me out there in Dubai. This is a very dynamic and diverse city after all. The goal is to stand out and get noticed.
So, time to "spin the wheel."
This is a game of attraction. If you regularly post and comment about what you do and how you do it, people in your industry are more likely to notice you. And that increases your chances of getting more views.
Be natural in your comments!
Nothing is more discouraging than an AI-generated, impersonal comment. Engage authentically, especially in Dubai, where professional connections can make all the difference.
Now you know.
View + Message
Here’s the bonus track: you’ve done everything right so far, and someone has viewed your profile. Great!
What’s next?
Send them a message.
But be nice and natural! Say hi, offer to connect, and keep it friendly. In Dubai’s networking scene, relationships often start with a friendly, professional introduction. You never know how a simple conversation can lead to new opportunities in this fast-paced city.
Enjoy the conversation!
