5 KEY ASPECTS to turn your insecurities into opportunities

5 KEY ASPECTS to turn your insecurities into opportunities

You would like to improve your soft skills and make a positive change in your life but you don’t know where to start?

You feel overwhelmed by the circumstances and the events, and you experience the same problems over and over again, but you wonder if it is you to blame or the people around you? Can you relate?

The questions you ask yourself and the way you perceive your problems or concerns will impact how you feel and the results you will get.?

There are 5 key aspects to turn your insecurities or problems into strengths and opportunities.

Mastering these aspects will you the foundation to improve your soft skills which start from building the right mindset especially when backed up with a strong belief system ( which I will discuss in the coming newsletter)

  1. The first key aspect in the process is to learn how to ask yourself the right question.

Instead of asking yourself why:

Why this always happens to me; why I have to go through all this; why I never get what I want; why I did not get the promotion; why people are mean to me..

Replace it by How:

How can I get out from this situation
How can I improve my skills to get that promotion.
How can I build a new vision for myself to start getting new outcomes.
How can I change my perspectives so that I start looking at things differently ..

When you ask yourself the right question, your mind will start to expand and look for possibilities and new opportunities. Your mind will start looking at solutions, and solutions will lead to new actions, and your actions will lead to new outcomes.

"For things to improve, you have to improve. For things to get better, you have to get better. For things to change, you have to change. When you change, everything changes for you” – Jim Rohn?

2. The second aspect is to set an intention not an expectation. Most people confuse between an intention and an expectation. The first one is objective and the second one is subjective. Your intention should give you a direction and a sense of purpose whether you get it or not because there will always a new way to get it, especially when you are open to learn from your failures ; but the expectation is the way you anticipate things to be and it can hurt you because when the expectations are not met, it can trigger frustration, and disappointment.

I always set un intention to see the good in everything even in the most difficult situations. Sometimes, I don't manage and that's ok because I trained my mind to look at it that way.
But I also learned to do things for people without expectations or anything in return.

3. The third aspect is to define a clear goal that will make you thrive either at the personal or professional level, a goal that reflects what you really want not what others expect from you.

Have you ever tried to use a vague keyword on google when searching for something. I did a test and I tried the keyword "book" and I got all kind of books without specific reference to any one.

When your goal is vague, the outcomes are also vague. The more specific you are, the more likely to get what you want.

Take a moment and reflect on what is not functioning in your life or simply what you need to improve to be where you want? this assessment will give you a helicopter view about your life but will also enable you to zoom on the area that needs improvements. Ask yourself how satisficed you are in each area of your life on a scale from 1 to 10. And then decide which area needs your full focus.

The areas above can differ from one person to another depending on your lifestyle. You can also have different goals coming from the same area. Here an example about your career goals that you can apply for the others:

4. The forth aspect to consider which encompasses itself three elements is to identify:

The skills needed, the beliefs that go with it, and the actions you will take, and the best way to accelerate this process is to model the people who are already successful in that area.

If your goal is to get promoted to a senior leader in your field, then consider this:

5. The fifth aspect has to do with emotional mastery as this alone can result in a lot of frustration, resentment, and hinder you eventually from achieving your goals.

“I will eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity, because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success. I will cause others to believe in me, because I will believe in them, and in myself.” Napoleon Hills

There is only love that will make you thrive. Forgiveness may not change the past but will create a better future for you.

I learned a lot from different stories of resilience and success through "the Path to resilience show" Most of the people that I interviewed with my partner had a lot of reason to envy and become selfish but they decided to forgive and move on. Join us for the coming episode next Tuesday that will cover "the power of forgiveness"

Everyone can turn their challenges into opportunities and thrive in life. It does not depend on luck or status as the only status to worry about is the quality of your mind.

Find courage within you to look inward so that you can rise up outward and create the life your choice.
