5 Inspirational Movie Scenes on What Makes a Great Career

For as long as I can remember I've been fascinated by inspirational films and good storytelling. I especially love the story of the underdog, the outsider, trying to succeed against all odds.

As I look back at the best year of my career, I decided to revisit a few scenes in some of my favorite films. These are some beautifully simple cinematic moments that highlight the mindset and attitude that I believe make great careers possible.

In this lifetime you don't have to prove nothing to nobody, except yourself. And after what you've gone through, if you haven't done that by now it ain't gonna never happen.
Don't ever let somebody tell you you can't do something. You got a dream? You gotta protect it. People can't do something themselves they want to tell you you can't do it. You want something, go get it.
You know what a loser is? A real loser is somebody that's so afraid of not winning they don't even try.
A doctor's mission should be not just to prevent death but also to improve the quality of life. You treat a disease you win, you lose. You treat a person, I guarantee you'll win.
What truly is logic? Who decides reason? My quest has taken me through the physical, the metaphysical, the delusional, and back. And  I have made the most important discovery of my career. The most important discovery of my life. It is only in the mysterious equations of love that any logical reasons can be found.

Finding a great career starts within you. It's something I struggled with, believing I wasn't good enough to work in an industry because I had no relevant degrees, experience, or other qualifications. It wasn't until I decided to dance with fear, take a leap, and find the love of my life that I discovered meaning in my work.

What makes a great career is the narrative that you tell yourself and share with others, throughout all the scenes of your life.
