1. BUILD

Human beings want to feel exceptional

— We need to focus on building a positive image. Social media can do just that in the digital world, and?LinkedIn?is a superior networking tool.

Create an exceptional Linkedin profile to display your entire personality, get recommendations, ask people to endorse your skills, and attract other like-minded people.

LinkedIn is a great way to find awesome people and leave a good impression of what you have accomplished and where you are going.

It’s not just about small talk; it’s about going to the core of who we are. Character is everything. People want to see you for who you really are, not a pretentious face. Talk about your weaknesses and mistakes; people will love you more. It shows you are human as well.

2. UNDERSTAND

Human beings want to connect

— What was the last time you took the time to connect with someone on a deeper level? Were you interested in their character rather than a title and job? You asked who they are, what interests them, and what makes them tick. What’s their vision?

3. SHINE

Human beings want to be part of something good and be positive

— We like to be seen and attract like-minded happy people. We join networking groups because we hope to get the room and space to talk, connect and share something about ourselves that will interest others. You need to shine yourself to attract other optimists. It sounds simple, but too few people have this perception.

We want to feel special and unique. That’s where we need to practice our elevator pitch and 1-minute speech of who we are and what we do. Smile, and be positive when you present. It attracts others. Display positivity, and you’ll attract positivity in return. We crave to be the center of attention, even though we don’t speak the entire time. It’s human nature.

Yet, we want to feel safe to express ourselves. If you are not an extrovert, it’s okay; find unique ways to talk about who you are in your way.

4. ELEVATE

Human beings want to feel elevated

— As much as we have our selfish reasons, we want to help others to feel appreciated and loved and give them the room to talk about themselves. Support them, ask questions and be INTERESTED!

Everybody wants to be appreciated and praised for their accomplishments and way of thinking. We feel rewarded when we give our time, attention, and perhaps physical gifts. We want to balance our need to be the center of attention with the need to elevate others.

It has to come across as genuine. Even if you have a side agenda to sell, ask for help, or date someone. Do it in a way that does not burden others. Be lovable! Try to help, connect and serve. :)

5. LEVEL UP

Human beings want to improve — tools to help you on your journey

We can reinvent the wheel or build our success on the shoulders of the giants. Be focused on what you like and the people you want to hang out with, and network like a lion.

Test

— Do a personality test to determine who you are and your nature. That’s where you can appropriately start surrounding yourself with interesting people. Send this test to your family and friends and see if you can find some commonalities.

Find out more about yourself and how to become a positivist and hero who leads by example!
