5 highest paid entrepreneurs of 2022
According to research done by CNN, less and less people are starting start-ups and companies because of the global challenges we’re facing. Still not convinced if entrepreneurship is worth it? Then, this post might change your perspective.
Now that we’re comfortably into 2023, I’ve been reflecting on 2022 and considering who some of the highest paid entrepreneurs of 2022 have been.
Elon Musk – $6.7 billion
Born: 28th June 1971
Birth place: South Africa
Age: 50 years old
Nationality: USA, Canada and South Africa
At the top of this list we have Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, Owner of SpaceX, co-founder of PayPal and now also the owner of Twitter. He tops the list because in 2022 he received a comfortable $6.7 billion in annual compensation.?
Mike Pykosz – $568.4 million
Born: 1983
Birth place: USA
Age: 39 years olds
Nationality: USA
Co-founder of Oak Street Health, a network of care centers for adults on Medicare in the US, Mike Pykos makes spot number 2 as his annual compensation is around half a billion dollars per year. Oak Street Health has over 20 clinics, 750 employees, and 28,000 patients.
Trevor Bezdek – $497.8 million

Trevor Bezdek is a co-founder of GoodRx, he’s also the company’s secretary and director. The company is a digital telemedicine platform and connects the public to their prescriptions at low prices.
Clearly the company has been a success if his annual compensation reaches just under half a billion dollars per year!

Nationality: Taiwanese
He’s the co-founder of Opendoor, an online real estate company. He originally co-founded and sold rentadvisor.com, where people to leave reviews of their neighbours and landlords in their area.
Alex Karp
Born: 2nd October 1967
Birth place: Philadelphia, USA
Age: 54 years old
Nationality: USA
Alex Karp is the co-founder and CEO of a software firm called Palantir Technologies. He established Palantir in 2004, and now also occasionally teaches meditation classes in the company HQ!
