As someone who has to constantly produce content I often face writing blocks.
Though I don't think this term would be unheard of for anyone, still if you are someone blissfully unaware of it, first, congratulations on being god's favourite.
Second, I'm defining it for you in simple terms.
A creative block is a person's inability to access internal creativity. It is when I sit down at my desk to write but can't get a single thought.
Quite a bummer. Isn't it?
We, artists and creators, hate it the most. We can't afford it.
So how to overcome such blocks?
Here's a list of things I do-
1. Take a walk.
It helps clear my mind up and allows the free flow of ideas.
Remember it is a walk for me it can be something else for you. So you should experiment with different activities if walking doesn't work for you.
2. Rearrange my bookshelves and clean up my room.
This helps in organising my cluttered thoughts and a clean place is where you get a clear vision.
3.Read
I'm a writer, so reading helps me the best, I get new inspirations from there to write.
If you are in a different field try something where you can get inspiration for your thing.
4.Read my own articles
Sometimes blocks arise from self-doubt. Many times I feel I write trash, and so subconsciously my brain avoids writing out of that fear.
In that case, reading my own words from a couple of days back help me feel more confident about writing.
5. Not writing for a while
Sometimes none of the above works, in that case taking a break does. Let your mind rest for a while, maybe take a nap. You'll come back stronger.
What tactics do you use to overcome creative blocks?
