Geographic focus: The foundation supports low- and lower-middle-income countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.
Eligibility: The foundation supports most non-governmental organizations that can provide evidence of their NGO status or charitable purpose.

The Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) scheme was formulated by the Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata. It aims to assist NGOs and local public authorities in developing countries in responding to various development needs in a prompt and complete manner.?
The GGP scheme of the Government of Japan has acquired an excellent reputation worldwide for providing timely support to development projects, which directly benefit the local communities at the grassroots level.
Eligibility: The GGP scheme primarily targets areas that aim to improve basic human needs, typically the construction of schools, improvement of medical facilities, imparting vocational training, creation of sanitation infrastructure, and projects concerning poverty alleviation.?

Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use
Grant amount: 250000 USD
About the Grant:
The Tobacco Control Grants Program is an important component of Bloomberg Philanthropies to reduce the use of tobacco.
The Grants Program is competitive and supports projects to develop and deliver high-impact, evidence-based tobacco control interventions aligned with the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations, the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, and the guidelines for its implementation.
Proposals must focus on achieving policy changes that will lead to substantial reductions in tobacco use.
Grant size: Proposals can be submitted for grants from US$25,000 up to US$250,000 per year. Short-term, one-year, and two-year project proposals will be considered.

Small Research Grants on Education Program
Grant amount: 50000 USD
About the Grant:
The Small Research Grants on Education Program offered by Spencer Foundation supports education research projects that will contribute to the improvement of education. Broadly conceived, the foundation offers budgets of up to $50,000 for projects ranging from one to five years. Eligible investigators may also request additional supplemental funds for a course release.?
This program is “field-initiated” and proposal submissions are not in response to a specific request for a particular research topic, discipline, design, or method. The goal of this program is to support rigorous, intellectually ambitious, and technically sound research that is relevant to the most pressing questions and compelling opportunities in education.
The Foundation accepts applications only three times per year.
