Hello everybody!?
I hope your weekend was fantastic.?
I'm so happy to announce that The Social Media Roundup has now reached over 1000 subscribers. Thank you so much for your support. I really can't wait to share all the knowledge and experience I've had in marketing for the last 24 years!?
To kickstart this Monday, I'm going to discuss the Five Fundamentals of marketing online. These are essential building blocks to form a solid foundation that will keep your business marketing strong and sustainable.
Where do you want your business to be? What targets do you have in mind? Writing them down will help you understand what's needed to achieve them. Identify this through the SMART framework. Set your goals to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Orientated.
2. Develop A Value Proposition
What value does your product or service provide? Your value proposition sets you apart from your competitors by highlighting why your customer should buy from you. By highlighting their pain points, you'll create valuable content that builds trust and establish your industry authority.
3. Inbound: Social Proof
The key to success in marketing is consistency. Consistently posting out campaigns builds your social proof. In marketing, social proof refers to the fact that when people shop, they search for reviews, recommendations, and examples of how other people have used a product/service before making a purchase. You need social proof for when your customers research your business. You can't have an online customer land on an empty page. Use our entry post planner to plan your campaigns regularly.
4. Outbound: Social Listening
Identify and research keywords used within your industry and niche to monitor trends and your competitors. Not sure what your keywords are? It's your product or service. It's the main points of your value proposition. Why not make a note of them in your 5 Fundamentals Workbook.
5. Test & Measure
Once you've pushed your campaigns out there, take a look at your numbers. You'll identify what strategies to eliminate and focus on based on performance. By focusing on methods with the most significant impact, you increase profitable results. Our five fundamentals workbook can help you track your performance.
