Here's my 5 for Friday takeaways from this week’s learning, news, articles, and general information read this week, that you may enjoy or find interesting:
1) Complaints in Social Care Resources – LGO resources
Some excellent free resources and guidance including templates and posters for display on how to raise complaints and be dealt with in a social care setting.
2) Update on regulations transformation – CQC (5min read)
An update on CQC's plan and approach for transformation. Providers to pay particular attention to the Provider Portal going live in Summer - this will be main route of returning data to the CQC with all providers required to be active on the portal.
3) Andrea Rose - Planet-Based Living – Podcast – Walk the Talk Show Waylon Lewis (56min)
As I live by a plant-based diet/lifestyle I have always found it difficult to say I'm vegan, as although I eat predominantly vegan diet I still do eat honey and avocado's and still have leather products in shoes. Listening to this podcast on Planet-based living made me think this is a better way to say how my lifestyle choice is, with some really good tips and guidance on how to sustain a planet-based life for the protection of the planet. WARNING - there are some difficult discussions around cows and their treatment within this podcast so please be warned is easily offended.
4) The eye-popping new school designed by its pupils – news post - Positive News (5 min read)
This is brilliant news post from a story in Madrid over a new school building designed by its pupils. Exceptional use of outdoor environment and living to stimulate education and learning.
5) Finally, Quote of the week - from Ralph Waldo Emerson
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else, is greatest accomplishment."
Thank you as always, welcome any comments or discussions on the above, and remember "With hope and belief there are no limitations”.
Have a good weekend all, Stephen.
