5 Fake Health Foods to Avoid at All Cost
So you decide to be more healthy and find nutritious foods you enjoy…
What you may quickly realize walking through the store aisles is not as clear cut as you may have thought. The truth is the modern grocery store is filled with fake healthy foods labeled as “all natural” or “vegan” or “Non-GMO.”
The reality is you can almost never trust the front of a product’s packaging.
So how can you trust and sort through what’s healthy and what’s not?
Read this article below to learn how to identify the red flags when it comes to “healthy” foods!
1. Some Vegan Products
Unfortunately many food manufacturers are taking advantage of the vegan movement. They label their products as vegan or plant based and we assume it’s healthy when this is far from the case.
Do you know what else is “plant-based”?
Cocaine.
Arsenic.
Sugar.
Don’t think something is healthy because it’s vegan.?
We live in an age where we have vegan soda, cookies, crackers, chips, etc and people believe these are healthy because they are “vegan”.
2. Most Fake Meat Products
Unfortunately most veggie burgers and similar type products these days are heavily ultra processed foods indisguise. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a quality veggie burger made of beans, veggies, etc.

3. Most Protein / Granola Bars
How many people do you know that are slamming down?chocolate birthday cake frosted fudge brownie swirl “protein” bars?under the image of health? The truth is most granola and protein bars are just glorified ultra processed junk food.?
4. Most Salad Dressings
The vast majority of salad dressings from convential grocery stores / cafes are filled with industrialized processed oils, sugar, and other chemicals that aren’t doing your body any favors.
5. Yogurt w/ Fruit
I love yogurt and fruit. Unfortunately most food manufacters create yogurt with fruit at the bottom that is far from a healthy choice. Sometimes they use fake fruit, sugar, preservatives, etc.
Always buy plain yogurt and add your own fruit!?

2 年A great rule of thumb for chain and regular grocery stores is to just shop along the outside and avoid any of the isles. The outside is always whole fruits and vegetables as well as where you’ll find farm raised meats and your yogurts and healthy dairy products. The entire middle of grocery stores is processed food Mark Metry

2 年We tried a lot of experiments. When we went full vegan and other things, I noticed that there is a huge lack for "good products and shops". ,...and I'm not talking about the next "Guru Granola" product with an 80% profit margin (this is an existing product in Germany with said margin right now :D).

2 年Fake meat is a ticket straight to Burnoutville. Good marketing, I too love the planet and animals but this stuff is so processed and GMOed it arguably causes way more harm to our planet than meat. Time to go back to small-scale, free-range, biodynamically raised animals. Good for the planet, extra nutrient-dense, humane, and helps regenerate the soil.
