5 Explosive Digital Marketing Strategies for 2023

5 Explosive Digital Marketing Strategies for 2023

The way you market your company in 2023 will be much different from how you did it in the past.

There are numerous new opportunities that have recently emerged, and I'm about to demonstrate the most effective marketing techniques you can use to advance your business in 2023.

Modern marketing actually falls into five broad buckets or categories; thus, we'll examine each one in detail, and I'll share with you the one strategy that is now most effective in each, along with practical advice you can take to make them a reality.

So let's just start with our first bucket?

  • Content Marketing?

It's all about short-form vertical video; I'm referring to Tick Tok, Instagram reels, and YouTube shorts if you want to produce content that will have a significant impact this year and for the foreseeable future.

When Tick Tok originally became popular around the world at the start of the epidemic, it not only struck a chord with viewers who were cooped up but also received a lot of attention from other social media platforms. First, Instagram copied it.

I mean, their CEO, Adam Missouri, really came out and said last year that we're no longer a photo-sharing app because let's be honest, there's some pretty serious competition right now, and Tick Tok is massive. I mean, I was actually inspired by their success.

Next YouTube made its move by offering shorts, and every time these big companies release new features, they'll encourage you to use them with more views, which brings more visibility and more interaction, just like they would have last year.

Short-form video appears to be here to stay and is likely your best bet for those higher levels of engagement and to be remembered by your target audience this year, so I might be telling you to be a little hesitant about going all in on this trend simply because it's so new and it may not last, but I'm not telling you that. If you're worried that this will only attract Gen-Z, that's not necessarily the case. First of all, tick tok's user base is aging up with 53% of its users now over the age of 30 plus when you post those same videos as reels on Instagram you're able to reach an even more mature audience

Therefore, even if you don't necessarily want to be on camera yourself, let's talk about what you should upload and how often to get the best results.

To demonstrate the effectiveness of daily reels, studies have shown that if you really want to succeed on these platforms, you must commit to making at least one video each day. Instagram guru Dominic Rieger asked five of his random students to do precisely that, and the ones who actually stuck with it for 60 days saw their follow accounts balloon to over 34 000 people, while the slackers who only posted once per week gained about 40 followers.

But how am I going to make and release a video every day? It's not as difficult as you would think, so my first piece of advice is to not be too picky about the quality of the production; in other words, your films don't have to be Oscar-winning works of art. Really, it doesn't matter that videos that resemble this one function flawlessly.

Actually, there are a few types of videos that you can produce with an incredibly little forethought and work. Here are some suggestions to get you started. You can use any of these ideas to create videos that offer a quick tip, some advice, a process you use, a surprising statistic related to your niche, a product you love, a book you recommend, or a tool you can't live without. You can present any of these ideas by speaking directly to the camera, using a related point-of-view video in the background with text on the screen, or even using the green screen feature.

The best way to do this is to set aside a time block of a few hours each week to work on batching all the videos for the upcoming week. I know this sounds like a lot of work, but the exposure you can get from using these videos—which are all only a few seconds long and can be reused on three major platforms—is well worth it.

Let's get to our next bucket?

  • Search Engine Marketing:?

The helpful content update is a brand-new Google change that you must be aware of if you want to be seen in search this year. Because it is so new, I had to consult an SEO specialist with a number of queries r regarding it.

She informed me that, in my opinion, the goal of the recent update to the useful content is to return to the material that has been created for people for many years.

Currently, people are concentrating a lot on written material that tries to be optimized for the algorithm, which is what SEO is. What are a few practical things that business owners can do with their websites in order to rank in Google search in 2023? They are as follows:

We need to consider the user's intention while creating a search that should direct them to your sales page; therefore, we would like the answers to the queries that people are probably searching for to be there.

We want to be sure that those are well addressed, so it seems like we only need to be extremely thorough on our crucial SEO page.

On a sales page, for example, you'll find FAQs, specs, and pricing. Making sure that we're answering the questions people are seeking on the home page is one way we make sure our visitors aren't left with questions they need to keep searching for on our competitors' websites.

In order to generate the most helpful content that responds to people's search queries and get our ideal ranking for the type of service we are providing, we need to consider what search queries people are using.

I'll use a local business as an example. A physical therapist I worked with noticed that there wasn't any information available about how much physical therapy costs in his area, so he decided to create some content that distinctly addressed this issue, explaining not only the price of his service but also how much it costs in the region and what you get at various price points.

The fantastic thing about this update is that it often allows you to generate fewer pages and posts, so in 2023 just focus on a select number of your most crucial ones and keep in mind that going deep in a few strategic areas will yield better results than going shallow and broad

Time for our next strategy under the bucket of?

  • Social Media Marketing?

With the rise of user-generated content, also known as having influencers create content for you on social media, there are many advantages to doing this in 2023. For example, 61% of viewers actually trust the product recommendations they receive from the influencers they follow, compared to only 38% who will trust social media content produced by you as a business.

However, before you dismiss this as being too costly or difficult to arrange, that is what this advice is going to fix. Trust me, this makes it really straightforward, streamlined, and actually fairly hands-off, thanks to tick.tok's Creator Marketplace.

Tick Tok is not only a social media platform that is rapidly expanding and, as I previously stated, is getting older every day, but it also has a career marketplace where you can find the right influencers for any budget, negotiate terms with them, and start working with them all through the platform. You no longer need to spend time looking up contact information before emailing or direct messaging someone; instead, it all works through the Creator Marketplace.

Once your account is set up, you can begin using the filters they provide to find the best influencers for your audience. You can filter things like the country they are in, or better yet, the country or region their audience is in, follower accounts, average views per video, or engagement rate, and, believe it or not, sometimes you'd actually want to go for people with lower follower accounts because, generally speaking, the what we call "Nano" influencers who have smaller followings are the ones who have the biggest impact on your audience. To put this in context, the average nano influencer's engagement rate is right around 5.6 percent, as opposed to 2.15 percent for those mid-tier influencers or 1.19 percent for those mega influencers, but you probably can't afford a Kardashian anyway, so let's just keep things real here.

You can narrow your audience based on these really high-level interests and simple demographics like age, gender, and location, and this is actually pretty cool because it lets you filter by fast-growing creators only, which is one of the most interesting features. However, as of right now, this isn't a really exhaustive list, so this will probably only be a viable option for you if your business has a fairly broad appeal. You can start seeing their prices right away and you can see what their typical content looks like?

I do advise looking over each profile before contacting them to ensure that their analytics look respectable, but after that, it's just a matter of selecting the influencers you want to work with, choosing the campaign's objective, filling out all the necessary information, and making an offer. From there, it's up to them to accept or reject your offer. I do advise working with several influencers at once because it increases your chances that some of these posts will potentially go viral rather than remaining on your website for all in on one single Creator and one single post

I've got a bonus tip for you here too: not only can these posts go viral on their own, but you can also use these influencer posts to create paid Tick-Tok ads. These paid ads are known as "spark ads," and they can be very successful because you're essentially hiring these Tick Tok pros to create your ads. Therefore, pick the posts that received the highest level of organic engagement and invest some money in them to spread them even further.

Moving on to our next bucket?

  • Email Marketing?

Email marketing, though not the newest, flashiest, or sexiest area, is the most lucrative, which, in my opinion, makes it a little bit more seductive. If you haven't heard me say it before, email marketing actually has an average ROI of 42 times.

Therefore, you may expect to earn 42 dollars for every dollar invested in your email marketing efforts. However, for email marketing to be effective, you must first obtain the email addresses of your potential clients. Interactive lead magnets are the key to achieving this.

Now, a lead magnet is anything you can offer to your prospects in exchange for their email address. Traditionally, this has included everything from asking them to subscribe to our newsletter, which isn't great, to offer a really useful download, such as a checklist, cheat sheet, or video series, which is warming up. However, these items are typically delivered for your prospects to act on on their own, whereas interactive lead magnets typically have higher opt-in rates and yield better results too because they're more invested in it

Timed challenges and quizzes are my two favorite interactive lead magnets for 2023. A timed challenge is a great way to build many touch points with your opt-ins over a period of anywhere from five to thirty days. To set up a timed challenge, first decide what goal or result you want to promise to help your prospects achieve on their own, with guidance from you, of course. Then, work backward to nail down all the little baby steps that are going to help them get there; they'll need to do it, so some common time periods for these types of challenges are 5; 7; 10; or 14.?

Generally, the shorter you can make it, the better. You email them with the task or assignment they must accomplish each day for the duration of the challenge. This works even better if you can change up how you present the information.

For instance, if you can occasionally include videos in your emails, you may take relationship-building to a whole new level. Likewise, a test Use an online quiz builder, like tryinteract.com, and ask the right questions similar to what you might ask in a one-on-one consultation so that at the end they arrive at a result that then starts you send them something just for that specific result. Works especially well if you wanted to tailor your advice or action plan to each person's unique circumstances.

Time for our next marketing bucket?

  • PPC or pay-per-click marketing?

When it comes to paid advertising, this strategy is truly a game-changer. It's all about being omnipresent, or everywhere online at once, and there's a really simple way to achieve that thanks to Google and this brand-new campaign type. It's so good, in fact, that it deserves its own separate newsletter. Wait until next Monday, and I'll explain why this is such a great opportunity to be found everywhere online for a lot less than your typical Google campaign believe me you don't want to miss this
