Embrace the spirit of #IWD2024 with enthusiasm as we talk about five must-attend events on International Women's Day, each offering unique insights, collaboration opportunities, and a chance to celebrate the achievements of women in various domains.
- Celebrate Women at Crane Living — Check out the incredible work done by Frederico Folcia, the founder of Crane, in building a strong and supportive community. In their words: “we not only aim to #uplift and #empower women but also extend our support to other growing communities at Crane. Crane actively supports numerous female-led business ventures, offering products and services with classic and clean lines”. I am personally planning to drop by, and I encourage you to join me in this celebration of women and community building at Crane Living.
- IWD: Celebrating the Progress of FEMTech in Singapore — I would love to hear from you if you plan on attending this International Women's Day event, where we will be celebrating the progress of FEMTech in Singapore. Lindsey Davis, and the FEMTech Association Asia, has been doing an excellent job in unifying and collaborating to advance the crucial mission of FEMTech in Asia. As a psychologist and healthcare professional I am excited about attending this event and truly hope to see you there.
- HER Courage Leaders Summit 2024 — is an event that holds significance for numerous leaders, not only in terms of time commitment but also as an invaluable learning opportunity. Many of these are senior women leaders who have paved the way forward for us in #Singapore and #Asia, I am immensely grateful for the chance to collaborate with them on projects and receive mentorship over the years. If you have the opportunity to join the summit, you will gain insights and valuable knowledge from a diverse range of leaders. It is a chance to connect with others, fostering a network of women leaders for mutual learning and growth. Do not miss this opportunity to expand your circle and be a part of something transformative.
- HER? Impact Forum 2024 — I have been impressed by Gracelyn Lin and KAVA and their work with Indonesia, I highly recommend attending the HER? Impact Forum. The event provides a valuable opportunity to listen and learn from their experiences. Gracelyn Lin collaborates with various partners and the forum also facilitates discussions with venture capitalists #VC on funding.
- Join me at the Women in Global Health Singapore event on March 12, 3.45-5.15pm Orchard Hotelhttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfiNJEUaDYr162K9M6xRiJLQiwFHT-bPFUcFB9cVWDnAl8rgA/viewform I am speaking on Women Leadership and #mentalhealth in a few companies. Top topics have been on “How to manage Imposter Syndrome” and “How to be a Better Ally” and a closed door event which includes “The Nuts and Bolts of Fundraising”; “How to Gain Visibility and Overcome Imposter Syndrome”; and “How to Approach Allies and gain Mentors/Sponsors”.There are many other wonderful events to celebrate this day (not mentioned here - so do look for them) - but beyond celebrations let us gather together to speak of the progress we have made so far and the #equity we still need to reach for ourselves and so many others in Asia. We are lucky in Singapore to have such opportunities and willing #allies and #mentors and #HR initiatives.
