The minimalist style is gaining popularity, and sophistication is combining with femininity to refresh designs for winter 22/23. Comfort becomes essential, and materials referencing this concept capture the public's attention. This comfortable design, with a more commercial twist, introduces new elements such as bright and comfortable silhouettes. If we discussed the New Cool and the dominance of smart and minimalist fashion in winter 22/23, this minimalist mood in the coming summer of 2023 becomes even more sophisticated, contemporary, and urban.
This winter, elegance means comfort, and minimalism becomes cosier, offering things that touch on this concept while remaining feminine. Below you can read the 5 key pieces of this style!
1. Cardigans
Openwork cardigans are a winter wardrobe staple. They can be explored through models with large V-shaped necklines. Tucked-in details at the waist with strings or belts, sparkling accents, and crop lengths are a wonderful way to enhance femininity while still making the item more modern. Fleecy materials draw attention to the message of comfort. Extra-long sleeves add a touch of refinement, while cuff adjustments add volume.
2. Loose-fit
Knits and flat textiles, such as silks, are available in loose dresses and wider fits. They are more commercial options, aside from alluding to the homewear/loungewear look. Long puffed sleeves provide comfort, while more fitting sleeves emphasise simplicity. Long lengths with A-line cuts that emphasise femininity while emphasising comfort are appreciated. Moreover, dresses in flat fabrics come in midi-length, and pleats make a statement, bringing movement.
3. Wide-leg pants
Classic wide-leg pants are designed in even looser styles that combine comfort and sophistication. Paperbag waist silhouettes make a statement while maintaining a warm vibe. Satin and sartorial fabrics are the most frequently used.

TIP: For this season, explore more subtle volumes.
4. Jumpsuits
Jumpsuits combine comfort, lightness, and functionality. Looser silhouettes with a tucked-in waistline catch the eye this winter, although they depart from the utilitarian style of previous seasons. Closed necklines are recommended, with prominent centre buttoning. Pleats at the bottom add volume, whereas hap tweaks or tapering cutouts update the style.
TIP: Keep in mind that the use of pliable fabrics allows clothing to move.
5. Coordinated sets
Aside from homewear, coordinated sets highlight a very refined minimalist aesthetic. Knits remain the preferred comfort fabric, although structured flat textiles have emerged as an option for milder weather. Tailoring adds focus to this item and is done in a variety of broader and less rigid styles. A more neutral or delicate palette (such as more confined blue tones) stands out here.
