The Protech Group excels in formulating innovative powder coating solutions for a wide range of market applications.
In the realm of powder coating, achieving flawless results requires a combination of expertise and precision. Here are five essential tips to help you lay the groundwork for success:
1. Prioritize Cleanliness
Regularly clean jigs and ensure that the air used in the powder spraying process is free from impurities. Consider incorporating an air-drying refrigeration unit into your setup to help maintain the cleanliness and dryness of the air used in the powder coating process.
2. Prevent Contamination
Thoroughly clean application and recovery systems after each use. Keep different colors and powder types separate, and be mindful of potential contamination from insufficient pretreatment or lubricants in mechanical conveyor tracks.
3. Optimize Resource Efficiency
Maximize your resources by recycling overspray powder. Use a powder recovery system for overspray collection, and mix with fresh powder for reuse. Make sure to sieve, and mix the powder at a recommended maximum of 30%.

4. Curing Process
The curing process is dynamic, with varying times influenced by substrate type, part size, shape, and color. Larger parts demand longer cure times. Pay special attention to the cross-sections of bigger parts, as they may encounter slight temperature variations. Additionally, be mindful of temperature gradients in the oven to ensure uniform curing. Curing begins when the part reaches the required temperature. As the powder coating melts and flows, it transforms into an even film to coat and protect the surface it is applied to.
5. Optimal Storage Conditions
Preserve the quality of your Protech Group Powders by storing them in a cool and dry environment. Regular rotation is advisable to maintain freshness. Note that exceeding 20°C may reduce the storage life.
