5 Employer Brand Tips That Can Get Everyone Involved

How exactly do we do it?

When working with a company to develop their unique employer brand, Ashley Perez stressed how essential it is that you share the recruiting challenges you are facing, the realities of candidate marketplace, competition challenges, etc. with the person or team creating the employer brand.?

1.????? Reshare your company’s employer branding content and stories to your LinkedIn networks. This helps build awareness and spark interest with passive/active candidates, helping you sell the positions easier.

2.????? When thinking about messaging, check with the employer branding team to learn if there are other tools you can leverage: e.g., Glassdoor profiles, unique landing pages for certain jobs with employee videos, blog articles, recruiter tool kits, talent CRM drip campaigns, ads, etc.?

3.????? Create your own content to get your employer brand visible to candidates while waiting for the official employer branding initiative to be completed. Here is a cool idea: have employees record on phone what they like about the job so you can share those real life messages. As you can probably guess: if employees won’t do this, you may have bigger problems.

4.????? To avoid content that is way off brand, resulting in jumbled messages to your candidate marketplace, Ashley recommends pitching your content ideas to the employer branding team. Get the guidelines to creating employee generated content that stays on brand.

5.????? Get your hiring managers involved. Yet another cool idea: Feature them in blog articles and videos to share their roles, excitement, etc. More great content for messages to passive candidates, LinkedIn posts, career page content, etc.?

Bottom line: Everyone acts like this is totally the responsibility of the recruiters, but they are wrong. Candidates will quickly figure out your employer brand is just empty words unless everyone in the company uses it as a guide to how they treat people, even candidates.
