5 Easy Ways You Can Begin To Grow Yourself

Hey friends??

So someone asked me some time ago saying, “how can I grow from a current level to a desired level?

And my answer to her was simple

Start doing or acting like who you want to be.

BECOME THIS PERSON

But let’s get to this, you don’t just move to that level you want.

You get to work through the process by applying your effort and time.

Look at the successful people you see today.

They didn’t just become who they are overnight. They put in the work as regards their personal growth.

They changed their habits and lifestyles.

?

Now, you don’t need a total makeover to improve yourself but making proactive choices and doing what you think you should do will take you far.

Here are 5 ways to implement self-growth practices that will help you become the better version of yourself.

?Have a Diary:

This will help you keep your thoughts in written form. Journaling helps you get to know yourself much more. You get to see patterns in your life that make you happy or upset.

Having a gratitude journal too can help you learn how to be thankful and appreciative of everything you have got.

This might sound cliché to some people but I can’t overemphasize this.

This has helped me in my daily life to stay organized and as well as productive and happy at the end of the day.

Before you go to bed, take a moment to go through your day’s activities to know what you were able to do and what you couldn’t.

?

Plan for the next day. You can move the task you didn’t accomplish the previous day to the next.

This is for you if you always have a to-do list.

?

Now, if you don't have one, start today to create one for yourself. This way, you know what lies ahead of you, what you need to prioritize, and how best to optimize your time.

Do what matters to you each time. As you think about reaching out and helping others, do the same for yourself.

If you think it’s about being selfish, then pause.

Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish at all.

Self-care is very paramount if you want to live healthier.

It will also help you when you reach out to others as well.

Do something different for yourself. If you have never tried reading, give it a try. If it’s volunteering, go for it.

Getting out of your comfort zone and changing your routine builds resilience and it’s also a step towards boosting your self-confidence.

You can take up healthy habits here, and build them into routines for yourself.

?Learn to say NO:

In the process of improving yourself, you shouldn’t be a YES master to everything that comes your way. Saying NO isn’t?a weakness but a strength.

If you feel something isn’t right for you, speak up. If a workload is too much and you can’t take it anymore, speak up.

If you can’t go for a hangout or party due to being overwhelmed by work, say NO.

Most times, you need time to refuel and safeguard your well-being. Self-care is important, and it’s not being selfish. It’s being wise.

And here is a BONUS point

?Get an accountability coach:

As you work to improve yourself and your daily life, get someone to help you stay accountable. You might think you can do it all alone but you lie. The fastest way to improve yourself is to have someone work together with you on your goals.

They help you figure out what you want to do and assist in planning how you would do it.

You achieve significant results faster than when you have to do it on your own. This is what I share with people I work with via my Accountability session. And a lot have benefited from it.
